Dear Title IID Principals,
As part of your participation in the Title IID grant we will be hosting another series of iLead workshops for administrators and for teachers. These innovative program for will provide administrators and lead teachers with the skills, knowledge and expertise to prepare your educational community for the 21st century. The foundation of this program is to recognize the academic rewards of leading a 21st century school into the future by promoting the effective integration of technology into classrooms, and providing educators with the technology skills to design instruction and better inform the decision making process.
The Title IID iLead Institutes will guide educators and administrators through three days of instruction focused on relevant research aligned to the National Education Technology Standards for Administrators (NETS-A). The focus will move from standard laptop use to mobile learning.

Session 1: Develop a Vision for 21st Century Schools
Tuesday, December 6, 2011 – 9am to 3pm
Session 2: Enhance your Leadership Potential with the latest mobile learning devices
Tuesday, December 13, 2011 – 9am to 3pm
Session 3: Leading & Learning with 21st Century Tools
Tuesday, December 20, 2011 – 9am to 3pm
During the three-day iLead Institute participants will receive an instructional toolkit. This includes a LiveScribe Pen and accessories, an iPad complete with the resources and professional development to effectively utilize these tools. As part of this iLead cohort, administrators will be invited to ongoing professional development and online learning opportunities to support instructional technology goals and objectives.
This iLead Institute is for principals and assistant principals of Title IID schools in South Brooklyn and Staten Island. During the three day iLead for Teachers, participants will develop skills and use tools to meet the needs and challenges of the modern day educational environment by incorporating the latest information technology practices into their daily routines. Participants will receive the appropriate hardware to become 21st century educators. They will use these tools to integrate the Common Core Standards, The Partnership for 21st Century Skills and Teacher Competencies.
