A stock with a huge variety o spare parts grants a high degree

Long Term Spare Parts Supply

Xylem Austria provides long term and consistent customer

support. We also manuacture parts or very old pump models,

which are currently no longer in sales program - we supportyou today and in uture.

Retroft and Optimization

Old pumps and pumping stations, booster sets, etc. can be

optimized and upgraded to the latest technology to reduce

operating and maintenance costs.

To retroft pumps, still beeing operated at fxed speed, with

HYDRVAR controllers provide a high potential o signifcant en-

ergy savings. For application in water supply and boosters the

savings could be up to 50% and or heating systems up to 70%.

HYDROVARThe intelligent and user riendly speed controller or pumps!

HYDROVAR is a pump or wall-mounted variable speed, microprocessor based system controller, and was the

worlds frst o its type to manage motor speed and match pump perormance to a range o hot and cold water

applications.

Due to the unique modular design the HYDROVAR unit can be mounted or retroftted to any existing centriugal

pump which has a standard IEC motor.

This is the long-awaited solution or high-level installations requiring ailsae systems with a superior range o ea-

tures, while its modularity also provides a cost-eective solution or low-level, reduced eature demands.

The HYDROVAR needs no additional master control and enables virtually any confguration o pumps: up to 8 ma-

ster drives or a mix o master and slave drives.

The HYDROVAR eliminates the need or:m Expensive additional master control panels and circuitry.

m System control valves.

m Large pressure vessels.

Energy savingsEnergy saving is a large issue within the heating and ventilating market

and within the Xylem product portolio we can oer a variable speed

drive, the HYDROVAR. A unique parameter gives the HYDROVAR an

added advantage. This parameter allows the pump to ollow a system

curve, the minimum system head is set together with the maximum and

the pump will then operate between these two points. This option has

been specifcally developed or use in the heating industry as it allows

the user to save up to 70% energy costs over a fxed speed pump. Due

to the energy saving capabilities o the HYDROVAR the unit has achieved

the high requirements set by the Energy Saving Trust to allow Xylem to

promote the HYDROVAR product.

Retro-fttingThe HYDROVAR speed controller can be mounted or retro-ftted to any

existing centriugal pump manuacturers unit, which has a standard IEC

motor. The units are available in powers rom 1.122kW. The units can

be mounted directly on to the pump motor (horizontal or vertical) or canbe wall mounted. The HYDROVAR can also be connected by cable to

another control system with microprocessor, using the RS-485 database

located on the main terminal board under the

cover. This enables the HYDROVAR system to send inormation about

the system conditions to an external unit, and to be controlled rom a

distance.
