2012 Wangan Green Turtle Ecological Camp

The Green Turtle Ecological Camp has been held for 6 years since

eco-tourism become more and more popular. In the camp, besides

presenting different aspects of ecological concepts, we give you achance to experience the lifestyle in a traditional shing village, and

acknowledge the crisis our ocean is facing today. We will continue

to have camps this year as part of our marine environmental

education, in hope that participants will learn to cherish and protect

our earth.

This years Green Turtle Ecological Camp will be held on August

2-5, with limited opportunities and a maximum of 10 participants.

During the camp, you will learn about sea turtles from all aspects,

with a tour through the Green Turtle Tourism and Conservation

Center with professional guides. Also, you will experience through

simulation how sea turtles come ashore to lay eggs, with luck, youmight even get a chance to see a real-time egg-laying show!

In addition, we will invite marine researchers and cultural workers

from Penghu to guide you through Traditional Penghu architecture,

customs and culture, which reect the wisdom and strong adaptive

abilities of our ancestors. We welcome you and your friends to visit

Wangan and participate in our exquisitely arranged camp!

Terms and Conditions:

1.Most of the activities will be conducted outdoors, mainly on the beach, please note

the weather is usually very hot.2.Children under the age of 12 must be accompanied by a participating parent or legal

guardian. Those between age 12 and 18 should be accompanied by a participating

parent or legal guardian. If not, a written parental consent is required.

3.Registration will close when participant numbers reach full capacity. Registration

should be completed within 5 days from the submission of registration form with full

payment of registration fee.

4.Registration fee includes travel insurance (NT$2 million liability), with an additional

NT$200,000 medical insurance, motorbike rental, snorkeling equipment rental, lecturer

fee, interpreter fee, meals, accommodation and expenses related to the program (as

indicated in the camp schedule).

5.Motorbikes are the most common mode of transportation on Wangan, if you do not

have a motorbike license or have any problems riding a motorbike, please let us know.

6.Registration fee does not include transportation from Taiwan to Penghu. Be sure to

book your flight or ferry on your own. For information regarding transportation from

Taiwan to Penghu, see http://party.tamee.org/toph7.The camp is held during the peak tourist season,please book your ight/ferry between

Taiwan and Penghu as early as possible. When you book your ight/ferry, please make

sure that your arrival time is before 13:00 on June 15th or August 2ed, and departure

time is after 16:30 on June 18th or August 5th.

8.The rooms can accommodate 2, 3 or 5 pax, room assignments will be made

according to sex and age. If you have a roommate request, please inform us during

registration.

9.Cancellation and refund policy:

For cancellation received more than 14 days prior to the camp, 70% of registration

fee will be refunded.

For cancellation received between 1 and 13 days prior to the camp, 50% of

registration fee will be refunded.

No refund will be given after the camp start date.

If the camp is rescheduled due to typhoon or other natural hazards, resulting in the

cancellation of participants, full refund will be issued. Reschedule of the camp will benotied as soon as possible.

The camp may be cancelled or rescheduled due to low enrollment, if this results in

cancellation of participants, full refund will be issued.
