RemembeR When ... Relive youR favoRite “musical memoRy!”
VOLUME 18 • ISSUE 1NOVEMBER 2012
Whether it’s your first concert, first dance, or a special milestone in your life - everyone has a “Musical Memory.” Relive yours on Saturday, December 15th, 2012 as the Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest® Boat Parade rocks the Intracoastal Waterway. Each winter, South Florida trades white snowflakes for white sandy beaches, icicles for ice cold beverages and boots and gloves for flip-flops and baseball caps. For 41 years, winter has been infused with a tropical flare filled with lights, music and fun along the waterway. We are pleased to present the signature event of the holiday season – The Seminole Hard Rock Winterfest® Boat Parade.
Winterfest®, Inc. (a not-for-profit 501C4 organization) is forever grateful to our sponsors especially our title sponsor - The Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Our community is extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful partner, for without their support, we would not be able to produce a show of this magnitude and rock South Florida with the most spectacular event on water!
With an active board of 50, over 300 volunteers, interns and a staff of three, Winterfest® works to develop a memorable event as diverse as the community it calls home. The theme “Musical Memories” ensures that the Parade will be filled with spectacular entries showcasing a wide spectrum of musical styles guaranteed to entertain throughout the entire 12-mile Parade route. Viewers can see the Parade no matter where they are; in person via land, water, air, or even streamed LIVE on www.WinterfestParade.com thanks to our friends at Comcast. Parade participants are everything from kayaks, sailboats, motorboats, classics, and mega yachts and we expect to see a variety of local charities represented. For ONLY $35, a private vessel can become a star of the waterway and enter the “World’s Most Watched Boat Parade.” Whether it’s pop, rock, jazz or something else, we want to see YOUR favorite “Musical Memory” rockin’ the waterway!!!
The Parade is seen and enjoyed by more than one million spectators. It starts at Fort Lauderdale’s historic Stranahan House and sails past our host hotel, the Riverside Hotel which will hosts VIPs, judges
