Thank you to Campus Lutheran church in Columbia for their recent

monetary donation to LFCS.

Thank you LFCS Board Member, Sandy Dirks

and the members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Columbia for participating in a diaper and wipe

drive to help the families we serve.

Many thanks to Rev. Lutheran Herman for inviting LFCS to speak to the

members of his congregation, Clarks Fork Trinity Lutheran Church on

October, 2013. Christine Corcoran and Michele Towns enjoyed a beautiful fall

morning drive to Boonville and appreciated the opportunity to speak

about the mission of LFCS. We were blessed with a monetary donation to

LFCS that day and look forward to the church hosting a baby shower for LFCS

during the holidays for the families we

serve.

I want to be a foster parent because I love how cute the babies are no matter how big or small. I want to help the baby get a loving family. Every baby is from God and he wants everyone of his children to have a nice family and I know God would want me to do this. I only have two siblings and when we foster a baby it’s like I have another sibling every time and I want to make the

baby comfortable.

I am a native of central Illinois, graduated from U. Of I. School of Medicine in Chicago, and did my residency at Milwaukee Children's Hospital. I have been in private practice in Columbia, MO. for 37 years, the last 11 in a part time position. For the past several years it has been my distinct pleasure to serve as the primary care pediatrician for the LFCS babies between nursery discharge and placement with adoptive parents. It has been a blessing to work with the wonderful, loving foster mothers in our community and to have had the opportunity to meet several of the grateful adoptive parents. These babies are so special! Just to see the joy they bring to the foster moms and the adoptive parents is such a rewarding experience. I can only say this has been a true " labor of love."

LFCS is blessed with such caring members in our community that

support our

mission.
