His first published assignment was when he was in sixth grade elementary school, which appeared in the local newspaper. He still has that clipping somewhere. Since Mr. McInnis comes from a long line of photographers, his early interest and success is not surprising. Both his father and his uncle were passionate professional photographers and this passion started as far back as his grandfather who was a part-time photographer. Mr. Mcinnis currently works for the Montreal Gazette but also works for different publications such as: Maclean’s magazine, the Globe and Mail, the National Post , and Time and Men’s Fitness and finds that “the variety of what I do is partly what keeps it fun.” Mr. McInnis even works for The Study and has been a key contributor to our Trillium magazine and our website for over ten years now. Mr. McInnis has won 3 Grafika awards for magazine photography. Mr. McInnis describes some of his inspiring moments as being in Ansel Adams’ house and his dark room, being on a project in Haiti in the 90’s during the coup d’état and again after the earthquake.

During that time she worked in a hospital with patients, she fell in love with the medical field and so instead of pursuing her original plan of doing a PhD, she decided to apply to medical school. In 2001, she started her medical education at the University of Laval in Quebec City. In 2002, she married her first love whom she met when she was 14 years old. She is currently completing her fellowship training in headache and pain medicine at McGill University and has accepted a position at the University of Montreal Hospital Centre in the department of Neurology at Notre-Dame Hospital. Her career path is an example of a long and winding road but she believes that there is truth in the saying that “ you can do anything if you put your mind to it … and you will succeed when you put your heart into it.” (Daniella Kessler, Observations, 2009). Lauren Rudolph ’05 After graduating from The Study in 2005, Lauren Rudolph went on to Marianopolis College, where she studied Commerce and ranked within the top two students in her faculty, and then she obtained a Commerce degree at McGill University, where she graduated on the Dean’s List.
