This year marks the arrival of an exciting time for the South Australian Jockey Club (SAJC), and busy calendar of events at Morphettville.

The SAJC is proud to be South Australia’s largest, and premier racing club, and we play host to 58 days of racing action throughout the year at Morphettville. The club has a membership of around 2000, 9 Board Members and employs 75 full-time and more than 400 casual staff. These staff are spread throughout administration, hospitality, operations and ground staff, race day casuals and the Club’s two external entertainment venues at the Morphettville Junction and Cheltenham Park Lucky Horseshoe.

Our exciting program of racing includes a number of themed feature race days, designated family days, the Adelaide Autumn Racing Carnival which is highlighted by the running of the Group 1 Sportingbet Classic on Schweppes Oaks Day; together with the Group 1 Centrebet SA Derby and Group 1 Distinctive Homes Goodwood on their respective days, and the state’s biggest day in racing, the Adelaide Cup. In addition to our feature race days, there is also racing action on 50 Saturdays throughout the year, making Morphettville the place to be for any racing enthusiast.

After witnessing some historic events here during 2012, we are now looking forward to an equally memorable 2013.

Private Marquees are located trackside on the Derby Lawns, Parade Ring or Champagne Garden Lawns, to allow for prime viewing of all of the racing action. Corporate Lounges are enclosed suites located in the Palms Grandstand, and are available in several sizes to cater for groups up to 25 guests. Offering excellent viewing of the track, guests receive quality catering and personalised service, and have the opportunity to watch all of the racing action in the privacy of the suite, or from the outdoor grandstand.
