Changes Since Proposal Rocket:  -  No  changes  since  proposal    

AGSE  &  Flight  Systems:  -  Elimina@on  of  environment  mapping  and  payload  localiza@on  (SLAM  

techniques)  via  sensors  for  payload  retrieval:  team  will  instead  exploit  hard-­‐coded  posi@ons  and  a  known  star@ng  loca@on  of  the  payload.

Educational Outreach •  Goal:  Promote  Interest  in  the  Science,  Technology,  Engineering,  

and  Mathema8cs  (STEM)  fields.  

•  As  of  PDR,  Team  A.R.E.S.  have  planned  two  (2)  Educa@onal  Outreach  Events  

•  Douglass  High  School  –  Work  in  conjunc@on  with  the  Douglass  High  School  doing  projects  related  

to  the  compe@@on  

•  FIRST  Lego  League  –  Engineering  compe@@on  held  for  Middle  School  students  to  build  and  

compete  with  autonomous  MINDSTORMS  robot.
