Our Programs “IHNGC is a great place for homeless families to get back on their feet, they are very helpful.” —IHNGC Guest, 2014

Mission Statement Interfaith Hospitality Network of Greater Cincinnati provides homeless families emergency shelter and hospitality through interfaith communities and works with families to find and retain stable housing.

Other IHNGC Programs: Transportation Program includes bussing guest families to congregations every eve-ning and returning them to the Day Center in the morning, allowing IHNGC to leverage over $300,000 per year in in-kind resources. Child Enrichment Program started in 2008. On-site activites with a focus on develop-ment are provided by the IHNGC Child En-richment Team which includes trained vol-unteers. Permanent Supportive Housing Program began in 2012. This program pays for rental assistance in scattered site units and pro-vides intensive, in-home case management to permanently stabilize the most vulnerable families.

How our Shelter Works: At the Day Center: All IHNGC families work with a Case Man-

ager to complete a case plan to find hous-ing and employment and receive needed referrals for ongoing care and services.

Laundry facilities, showers, storage lockers meet basic needs.

At the Congregations: At 5:00 p.m. guests leave the Day Center

and travel by bus to one of our host congre-gations where they are greeted by volun-teers who provide hospitality, home-cooked meals and private sleeping quar-ters.

In the morning, volunteers offer a quick breakfast and bag lunch, then it’s back to the Day Center.
