Give Me 10 Character TraitsPositive Behavior Management

• Students will be expected to observe and follow the 10 good character traits throughout the school.• If behavior or character is in question:• 1 verbal warning will be given.• If continues, a yellow card will serve as a visual reminder to modify behavior or character.• If continues, a red card will serve as a visual reminder that behavior or character is unacceptable. A Behavior Action Plan will be completed and signed by parent.• These guidelines are consistent throughout the school and in all subject area classrooms to improve effectiveness.

Missing Work/Responsibilities• Missing Work Policy:• Students with missing/late/incomplete/lost/at home assignments will be expected to send an email to inform parents about the missing assignment.• Stay in for recess until work is completed and signed off.

• Responsibilities:• Weekly Student Evaluations, signed assignment books, taking mail home, completing weekly classroom job, cleaning up work areas at school, and putting up chair.• Any missing responsibilities will result in loss of eligibility for the Weekly Homework Pass.

Weekly Rewards

• Homework Passes:• Good for a 1 day extension on homework or a responsibility (offer only good for Mr. E’s classroom)• Will be given to all students with 0 missing/late assignments, 0 missing responsibilities, and 0 color changes.• Students will be eligible for the class raffle (books, toys, goodies, gift cards, etc. can be raffled off).• Collect as many as you can!

AS Approaching Standards Demonstrated skills inconsistently. Show progress, but is not at grade level standard yet.

CA Concerns in the area Needs considerable assistance and is performing significantly below standards. Struggles in this area; shows little or no progress.
