Why we administer the annual survey

The Climate and Satisfaction Survey invites all staff and families, as well as students in grades 5 through 12 to respond to an online questionnaire about their schools:• Alignment with District Accountability Plan Priority 3• Understand what members of our school community think

about the learning environment at our schools. • Initiate data-based conversations among all members of the

school community to transform current practices on behalf of our students.

– Since adopting the new vendor in 2013, participation has improved. We will be adding paper-based surveys for the 2014-15 administration for families and non-technical staff.

• Student responses trend lower than families and staff.– Adding school-based discussion groups arranged

by school climate specialists to work more directly with student groups
