...comes an abundant harvest.

We’re deeply grateful for your support of the A/U Ranches in 2014, which gave participants the opportunity to experience many blessings such as the ones on these pages. Thank you for all you do!

Adventure Unlimited Purpose: To provide inspiring recreational, leadership, service, educational, and social activities for Christian Scientists and their friends, which nurture healing and a

sense of community, in an atmosphere conducive to practical reliance on Christian Science.

Sky Valley

No Fear with GodI got over my fear of heights and

jumped into a river from a high rock because my counselors helped me through it

and gave me a quote that I relied on: ‘He laughs at fear, afraid of nothing.’

It really helped me. Camp made me feel closer to God…

Round-Up

Camper’s Wrong Path Set Right“As I gazed past the trees and into the sky, I could feel my eyes welling with tears, totally moved by my surroundings as Austin spoke to me: ‘The beauty in life is all around us. We just have to seek it out, and in doing so, we will glorify God. Just like those trees, the mountain, the sky, you are a perfect expression of God.’… That night changed my life.”

Healed After Mountain Biking Accident“I realized that I believe in Christian Science, but I didn’t have a solid reason to believe in it. I needed a sign—something to show me that Christian Science was real and what people say about healings is true.”

Adult & FamilySpiritual Renewal Found

This has been a wonderful, refreshing week of spiritual renewal, breaking limitations, being myself, sharing, making new friends and

strengthening established friendships, and generally having the opportunity to have fun, laughter, deep moments,

share happiness and experience peace, harmony, stillness and joy.

What a blessing this has been!

...comes an abundant harvest.

With your support, DiscoveryBound was able to provide all of these programs in 2014. We hope you’re inspired by this collection of fruitage from Christian Science youth putting prayer into action. Thank you!

DiscoveryBound Purpose: DiscoveryBound is a year-round program for youth, family, adults and friends that provides inspiring recreational, leadership

and service activities on local, regional, national and international levels. Our mission is to create an atmosphere where individuals experience Christian Science in action.

Regional and Local Programs A Sense of Belonging and Worth“DiscoveryBound gave to [our son] what we could not—belief in himself and the knowledge that he was a good person who deserved to have friends, that it was not him that was the problem, but the environments that he was in.”

National Programs 2014 Boston Bound (including a visit to The Mother Church)

It has always been just my brother and me in church, and it’s hard being the only Christian Scientist in school. It was the most amazing thing to talk to other Christian Scientists my

age. I gained so much inspiration.

– Boston Bound Participant

We ended up doing an on-the-spot treatment for one of our members... it was really

inspiring to see everybody uniting in prayer.

– Boston Bound Participant

I attended the Boston Bound event to learn about our religious foundation. It

exeeded my expectations because I was constantly amazed by the story of Mrs. Eddy, the movement and the

organized nature of the church.

National Leadership Council (NLC)

Never Lost“Instantly after we finished singing the last verse [of ‘Feed My Sheep’], we saw our class leader ahead of us. We walked to our campsite and were greeted with so much love from our class. It was wonderful to see how we were provided for that day and the immediate response to our prayers.”
