f r o m Mr . G l o v e r h a t y o u i n c l u d e d does no t contain an y s t a t e m e n t s or c o m m e n t s that

w o u l d a p p e a r to violate the M i n n e s o t a R u l e s of Professional C o n d u c t . Further, if an

attorney is rude, uses harsh language or exhibits bad m an ne rs , s uc h c on du ct would fall

short of the profession’s best standards. H o w e v e r , such c o n d u c t ordinari ly w o u l d no t

NOTICE O F RIGHT TO APPEAL

If y o u ar e no t satisfied with the Director s d e t e r m i n a t i o n no t to investigate this

Complaint, an appeal ma y be made by notifying the Director in a letter postmarked no

later than fourteen 14) days after the date of this notice. Th e letter of appeal should

state th e reason s) why you be l i eve th e m a t t e r s h o u l d be i nves t i ga t ed . A Lawyers

Professional Responsibility Board m e m b e r will review the appeal. Th e Lawyers Board

is c o m p r i s e d of 14 l aw ye rs a nd 9 n o n -l a w ye r s a p po i n te d b y the M i n n e s o t a S u p r e m e

Court. A p p e a l s are ass igned to individual L a w y e r s B o a r d m e m b e r s in rotation

according to when they are received. The Board members’ options on appeal arelimited to either approving the Director s decision not to investigate the complain t or

directing that the complaint or some portion of the complaint be inves tigated. Thisd e t e r m i n a t i o n will generally be b a s e d u p o n the i n f o r m a t i o n w h i c h is a l ready c o n t a i n e d

in th e file.
