Through the Cleveland Browns Foundation, we continue to enhance our current partnerships while strategically selecting new programs that align with our goals. Our strengthened collaboration with Cleveland Metropolitan School District features a new attendance campaign — “Get 2 School. You Can Make It!” — aimed at removing barriers for students who are chronically absent to help ensure that they are prepared to succeed in and outside of the classroom.

With a focus on youth football and volunteerism, Community Relations believes in the skills and lessons everyone can learn from sport participation and selflessness. We are emphasizing and creating optimal youth football opportunities in Cleveland while encouraging fans to make a difference through the Browns First and Ten signature program. One of our proudest accomplishments this past year was working with partners on the Dwayne Browder Field refurbishment project to provide a best-in-class inner city football field for the players, the coaches and inspirational volunteers who lead our youth and the surrounding community.

While our efforts to improve our community in 2016 are well underway, we are proud to share with you the 2015 Cleveland Browns Community Impact Report. We are thankful for your support as you play a pivotal role in our collective mission to provide the high-quality education and development opportunities that every child needs and deserves.

Honoring the rich history and traditions of our past players, we continued to strengthen the relationship between our fans and the Browns organization by further connecting our alumni to the community.

Our family also pledged $10 million to Breakthrough Schools, the highest-ranked network of public charter schools in Cleveland. Through our family’s initiatives and those of the Browns, we want to continue to be champions of the child, the future of our community.

We greatly appreciate the critical support of our fans and partners of Northeast Ohio as we strive to improve youth development and education. We encourage you to read the following report, which further details our commitment to making a difference in our shared community. Thank you for your continued support and passion for the team!

GET 2 SCHOOL. YOU CAN MAKE IT! CAMPAIGNThe Cleveland Browns Foundation is the signature partner for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District’s “Get 2 School. You Can Make It!” Campaign, which works to solve the problem and remove the barriers of students being chronically absent from school. Missing ten days of school has a significant negative impact on student test scores and graduation rates.

FIRST AND TEN: SHARE THE PASSIONLaunched in 2014, First and Ten is the signature community program of the Cleveland Browns, and the only one of its kind in the NFL. First and Ten uniquely ties one of the game day goals of gaining 10 yards to make a difference on the field with the same dramatic impact that can be made in the community when goals are set, and reached.

The call to action is simple, GIVE 10 HOURS, HELP YOUR COMMUNITY. Use #give10 to share stories and inspire others. Make the pledge at ClevelandBrowns.com/community or fill out a group form and take the lead!

Browns Backers Clubs from California to New York to Florida have made the pledge, inspiring fans nationally!

First and Ten Honorary Coin Toss Captains were recognized at home games for inspiring others by giving back to their community.

DWAYNE BROWDER FIELDIn partnership with the NFL Foundation, the Browns’ $200,000 grant kick-started a major overhaul to an inner-city football field in Cleveland’s Central neighborhood. With teamwork in mind, the project received a jolt when FirstEnergy installed lights at Dwayne Browder Field, while other partners including CCI, Zenith Systems, and Burten, Bell, Carr Development, Inc. joined in support of the City of Cleveland. Once littered with glass and cinder, the new Dwayne Browder Field will play host to the Cleveland Muny League’s 56 teams, and aid as a practice site for neighboring East Tech High School. In addition to the new playing field, the Browns also offered six new football camps to young kids in the inner city.

“ I love the way the Browns help in the community. It’s a blue-collar city, you have a lot of people that aren’t that well off. Being able to give back to them and let them know we do care about them and we appreciate their support and love and how they feel about the Browns also is great.”

Committed to giving back and supporting those who have served or are currently serving our country, the Browns Honor Row game-day recognition continues to be a favorite. The Browns proudly embrace the NFL Salute to Service platform, while locally thousands of military representatives have been part of Browns outreach efforts from game tickets to exclusive opportunities with the team. Did you know? Alex Mack traveled to the Middle East as part of the NFL-USO All Stars Tour in 2015.

More than 80 survivors were part of an exclusive game-day celebration as the Browns celebrated the Crucial Catch Campaign and advocated for breast cancer awareness. United in teamwork with University Hospitals, patients, families and physicians shared joyful moments with players during their time at University Hospitals Seidman Center. The Browns are dedicated to ensuring youth are getting active and are provided opportunities with healthy options. Players made a surprise visit to a Cleveland Metropolitan School District school to be guest PE teachers, as they taught kids the fundamentals of football. On another day off, hundreds of volunteer hours were logged when a playground was built at a local school. In addition, students in the Cleveland Metropolitan School District had breakfast at school and increased their attendance, earning a $10,000 NFL Hometown Grant in partnership with Fuel Up to Play 60. The NFL Play 60 movement encourages activity for at least 60 minutes a day for a healthy lifestyle. This fall, participation among schools with students and PE teachers for the Play 60 Challenge went up 24%. Young athletes and volunteer coaches

are celebrated in August during USA Football Month. Super Bowl Champs from the United States Flag & Touch Football League joined the Browns for our USA Football Month Celebration and more than 90 kids joined NFL players for the presentation of the National Anthem. Over 3,800 preseason tickets and more than 3,400 pieces of football apparel were donated to more than 20 youth football organizations throughout Northeast Ohio in August. August also marked the start of the second year of the Athletic Trainers Grant program. Through collaboration with University Hospitals, and in partnership with Cleveland Metropolitan School District, John Hay and James Ford Rhodes High Schools received funding to add certified athletic trainers for all interscholastic sports throughout the school year.
