Through trait and variety advancements, we supply cotton growers with technology they need to be successful. Our flagship FiberMax ® and Stoneville ® cotton seed brands contain weed and insect control traits that are second to none in the industry and allow growers the opportunity to achieve strong yields and quality. Bayer CropScience currently is the only company to offer cotton varieties with stacked herbicide trait technology. With GlyTol ® LibertyLink ® stacked technology, growers can make over-the-top applications of either Liberty ® or glyphosate herbicides. This gives growers two herbicide modes of action to control weeds effectively and reduce the potential for resistance as part of a comprehensive, full-season overlapping residual herbicide plan. It also protects against the potential for damage due to off-target movement of Liberty or glyphosate from nearby fields. GlyTol LibertyLink stacked technology has full tolerance to both herbicides and is only available in elite, high-performing FiberMax and Stoneville cotton seed varieties. Extensive laboratory, greenhouse and field trials across the Cotton Belt have evaluated both the crop tolerance and agronomic performance of cotton varieties with GlyTol LibertyLink stacked technology. Research and on-farm trials continue to prove that they are excellent performers in the field and deliver a high level of convenience, efficacy, crop safety and peace of mind. LIBERTY HERBICIDE Use Liberty herbicide with the LibertyLink trait as part of an Integrated Weed Management system. With the unique mode of action in Liberty, growers can control weeds early before they jeopardize yield potential. Liberty helps growers achieve high yields through better weed control. As with all herbicide technologies, sound weed control programs should be used when planting GlyTol LibertyLink stacked varieties, including the use of more than one herbicide mode of action and/or tillage where appropriate. In cotton, the use of pre-plant incorporated, pre-emergence and/or postemergence (layby and over-the-top) herbicides in combination with a Liberty or glyphosate program will help reduce the potential for weed resistance development and help manage weed resistance while sustaining the effectiveness of these weed management tools for cotton growers. Through trait and variety advancements, we supply cotton growers with technology they need to be successful. Our flagship FiberMax® and Stoneville® cotton seed brands contain weed and insect control traits that are second to none in the industry and allow growers the opportunity to achieve strong yields and quality. Bayer CropScience currently is the only company to offer cotton varieties with stacked herbicide trait technology.

With GlyTol® LibertyLink® stacked technology, growers can make over-the-top applications of either Liberty® or glyphosate herbicides.

Research and on-farm trials continue to prove that

they are excellent performers in the field and deliver a high level of convenience, efficacy, crop safety and peace of mind.

LIBERTY HERBICIDE

Use Liberty herbicide with the LibertyLink trait as part of an Integrated Weed Management system.

FOLLOW THESE SIMPLE STEPS TO USE LIBERTY HERBICIDE:

1. Increase the water volume to 15-20 gallons. Liberty herbicide is a contact-based herbicide that requires good coverage for maximum weed control efficacy. For best results use at least 15 gallons of water per acre. Increase the amount of water to 20 gallons per acre if you have a dense weed canopy. Choose the right nozzle and use the right amount of pressure. Be sure to choose a nozzle and pressure that generate a medium-sized spray droplet (350 micron droplet size).

2. Slow down! Remember, Liberty is a contact-based herbicide that requires good coverage for maximum weed control efficacy. For best results apply at ground speeds of less than 10 miles per hour.

3. Take advantage of humidity. Avoid spraying within two hours of sunset, as it may result in reduced control of velvetleaf and lambsquarters.

4. Spray weeds at the right time/size. Liberty is rainfast in four hours. Apply Liberty herbicide to small weeds – no more than 2 to 4 inches tall. If possible, wait to spray until winds are less than 10 miles per hour and temperatures are warm (at least 60 degrees Fahrenheit). High humidity (at least 30 percent) and sunlight also improve the performance of Liberty.

5. Use the right rates. See chart below.
