ALEXANDRIA KAYE SWINDLE ENDOWMENT FUND

STAR’s Endowment Fund was recently named in loving memory of Alexandria Kaye Swindle. Below is a heartfelt note from Jennifer Swindle, Alexandria’s mother and STAR Board Member.

Our daughter, Alexandria Kaye Swindle, was born on October 6, 2014. 6 days, 4 hours and 22 minutes later she left this Earth. Alex’s life was short but it was full of purpose. The imprint she left behind will far exceed her time here on Earth. She reminded us to always seek a purpose. To not give up. To love deeply. To believe in miracles. And to celebrate the precious moments of life as they happen. Alex is no longer carried in our arms but she is forever carried in our hearts. We draw strength from our memories with her. As I watch the parents at STAR, I see purpose in their eyes and love imprinted in their hearts. The parents at STAR do not give up. The riders at STAR do not give up. Each journey contains its successes and its challenges, as is the story of life. But STAR is a place where each parent can stand proud as they watch their rider gain independence and grow. STAR is an outlet where each rider can have something wonderful to call their own. Watching a face be consumed with a smile from just walking through the doors at STAR is a reminder of the great purpose of STAR. A reminder of how deeply STAR is loved. That each miracle at STAR makes a difference. Every moment at STAR is a precious moment of life that should be celebrated as it happens. Please support STAR by making a donation to The Alexandria Kaye Swindle Endowment Fund to continue the great purpose of STAR well into the future.
