From changing the standard practice of social untouchability to now ensuring dignity for artisans, NK Chaudhary’s journey has been filled with everyday celebrations. We work towards reviving craftsmanship through bringing our artisans’ art to your home.

Integrating current designs with the sustenance of our communities and strong retail partnerships, we deliver not just a carpet but the blessings of each family. Jaipur Rugs’ Book 1 presents a curated line-up of bold, eclectic carpets from Uttar Pradesh that are now stocked in India.

Through this journey we welcome you into the Jaipur Rugs family to discover the many quirks and fancies that make up our people.

You’re in a village when you smell the mouth-watering fragrance of samosas being fried. You can’t help yourself as you walk down a mud path, past a tranquil cow who watches your progress into her home.

You can almost taste the spicy potato stuffing as you follow your nose into the backyard. There are neon buckets filled with water, and clothes drying in this backyard where a woman combs her hair while her sister weaves beside her.

You hear their laughter over the clip-clap of a tufting gun as the women slowly turn around and notice you standing there. They smile and welcome you like an old friend. A neighbor walks in from the other compound to join the conversation.

Welcome to a typical weaving home in rural Uttar Pradesh where the laughter is warm and colours loud.
