GET THE ABILITY YOU WANT.The Ranger 4-Wheel-Drive System incorporates electronic shift-on-the-fly (ESOF)1 to let you move smoothly from 2-wheel drive to 4-wheel drive without having to stop the vehicle.

When you’re off-roading, you need to stay above obstacles if you want to stay on the move. The confidence-inspiring approach, departure and breakover angles of Ranger – plus its equally impressive turning circle – help you do exactly that.

A boost when you need it. Ranger is now available with electric power-assisted steering (EPAS), which constantly adjusts its level of assistance. Full power is provided at parking speeds for easy maneuvering. When you’re out on the road, it weights up proportionally as your speed increases for the best possible feel and control.

GET THE POWER YOU NEED.Ranger is available with a 2.5L petrol engine, or a choice of 2.2L or 3.2L diesel engines.1 Each of these high-tech units combines power and efficiency with fantastic range. For example, the 110-kW 2.2L high-output diesel engine puts up to 277 lb.-ft. of torque at your disposal for excellent flexibility when you are on the move.

Depending on which model and engine you prefer, Ranger comes with either a 5- or 6-speed manual transmission,1 or a smooth 6-speed automatic1 that features a manual sequential-shift capability.

Prevention is better than a cure. That’s why Ranger incorporates an Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS)1 to help you steer clear of an accident. However, even ABS is no guarantee, so Ranger also includes a collapsible steering column and pedals, and active restraint systems, including multiple available airbags.

Voice-activated SYNC®1 makes it easy to stay connected. No more searching for your phone. No device on your ear. Once paired, SYNC recognizes your phone and automatically transfers your contacts to support voice calling. It lets you play music from your phone, MP3 player or USB, as well as providing quick and easy browsing of your phonebook and song lists. SYNC does all of this with simple voice commands. And it has an 8" color display1 for your convenience.
