The growth of activities has led to an expansion even beyond Italy and Europe. Medicinal gases

The wide range of medicinal gases is only one aspect of the quality, reliability and technological innovation that the SIAD Group offers the healthcare sector.

Gases for medicinal use

These gases include:• therapeutic gases;• diagnostic gases;• anesthetic gases (nitrous

TTS is a platform able to:• reconstruct the system “As

Built”, with all components including, for each component, a document library provided with technical data sheets, photographic surveys, guarantee certificates, etc.;

• list the components with “system analysis coding” with easy cataloging, via bar codes as required;

• plan and manage predictive maintenance (check-lists in accordance with the component manufacturer’s data sheet), and with faults/extraordinary maintenance;

The software manages the handling of cylinders between the pharmacy (central warehouse) and single departments (peripheral warehouse) or between departments, in order to precisely

• create reports, check costs and any savings downstream of maintenance work; the system also has an “extras” module that customers can use to request quotes and check the progress of the work and the cost of the entrusted interventions;

• organize activities for putting the system in safety status and offer a historical analysis of system shutdowns.

TTS is a system consisting of a web platform divided into four areas:• customer area where it is possible

to make and check requests;• area reserved for the departments

track the drug and the container.Therefore the Healthcare Facility has an exact control of the distribution of “cylinders” internally at any time. More specifically, the TTC system allows the management of medium/minimum stocks in the pharmacy and in the individual departments, at the same time indicating, with special “alerts”, the expiration of the drug and cylinder testing.

TTS is a system for the listing and maintenance of medical and industrial gas systems.

Distribution systems for medicinal gases

The supply of gas is integrated with the design and creation of “turnkey” dedicated distribution systems - a sector where SIAD boasts consolidated expertise - and the development of ad hoc management solutions and services, to ensure maximum efficiency and safety in the use of the gases.The medicinal gas distribution systems are classified as medical devices. They can be divided into three types of “standard” systems:• systems for the distribution

of medicinal gases and their mixtures: oxygen, nitrous oxide, air, carbon dioxide, oxygen/nitrous oxide mixtures, air for surgical instruments, nitrogen for surgical instruments;

• centralized systems for endocavitary aspiration (vacuum);

• centralized systems for the evacuation of anesthetic gases.

The SIAD Group is UNI EN ISO 13485 certified and also ISO 9001 certified, for design, creation and technical assistance of medical devices for the surgery sector, equipment and instrument for cryobiology, laboratories and research. SIAD is a qualified “Manufacturer” of medicinal gas distribution systems, as required by law, and provides for CE marking of the systems implemented.

Installation of the systems is “turnkey”, from the stations where the vacuum and gas production and storage equipment is positioned and centralized, to the distribution lines taking the gas to operating rooms, patient rooms or analysis and research laboratories and cryobiology

Traceability: the lot number is given on a special label for each single product.

Total gas management is a service that includes: delivery to point of use, wharehouse management and the safety of the gas used. The major advantage of this service for our customer is the reduction of the operating cost of their activities and a better industrial performance. Freezerworks is directly configurable by users and can be adapted to any sample storage system (containers for liquid nitrogen, -80°C freezers, refrigerators, other storage systems).Its flexibility allows adaptation to already installed instruments. SAFE2®

SAFE2® is an ADVATIS® brand specifically dedicated to the cryopreservation of stem cells, tissues and other biological materials.STEM CHOICE® and TISSUE CHOICE® bags are the result of continuous in depth research and the desire to combine innovation, safety and adaptability.

InnovationMade from the most innovative EVA formulation, the welding is performed with the most advanced technologies and the connectors have been chosen and specifically made to ensure great accuracy. The special needle free connector, for example, guarantees the operator’s safety and reduces the risk of contamination. The bag’s special design, was developed with the aim at making it user-friendly during all steps of the product manipulation. Moreover, its shape perfectly fits most existing bag holders.

SAFE2® bags are made of biocompatible EVA (Ethyl Vinyl Acetate). The new formulation makes these products particularly flexible and highly resistant to the operating temperature range (-196°C to + 37°C). All sizes are available with a safe and practical overwrap bag with a double protection for the biological samples: this ensures good cryopreservation and prevents the risk of cross-contamination.

SafetyAll cryobags are subject to multiple different types of testing to ensure quality and safety. Each bag is tested individually both in pre and post production phase. The finished product is in conformity with the internal and external quality standards.

AdaptabilityBoth STEM CHOICE® and TISSUE CHOICE® bags are available in different sizes, depending on the application. In case of specific needs, special custom-made bags can be made according to the user’s requirements.

Mini e Polaris®, that allow the neurosurgeon to program and modify the opening pressure in a non-invasive way, and a large range of catheters.Polaris® is an adjustable valve with a ball-in-cone mechanism that is activated by a spring. The spring is attached to a magnetic rotor which is able to pivot inside the valve body. The operating pressure of the valve is determined by the angular position of its rotor which can be changed at any time non-invasively only by using a specific magnet. This way, the valve is insensitive to external magnetic fields that would otherwise modify the valve’s setting.

The selected pressure can be easily identified by using the Compass which spares the patient another x-ray.

Sophy® Mini Adjustable ValveThe opening pressure of the valve can be adjusted externally using the dedicated adjustment system comprised of: magnet, pressure selector and the compass. The adjustment system allows the surgeon to modify the opening pressure at any moment without having to resort to surgery.
