2017-18 Stevenson High School’s Poster Design Contest

SHS is in need of THREE artworks for our Consortium Orchestra, Choir & Band Concert Posters! Submissions are Due: Fri. Dec. 8, 2017 Info:

• Open to ALL PreK-8 Consortium School students. • Submissions may be dropped off at the SHS’s Principal Office OR

email a high quality digital image to Jon Grice at jgrice@d125.org, no later than Fri. Dec. 8, 2017.

• Provide the student’s name, grade, and school. Artwork & Design:

• Poster Art will print at 9” wide x 13” tall. • Any medium is acceptable (drawing, painting, graphic design, mixed

media, photography...etc.). • Consider how music is created & performed in Band, Orchestra, &

Choir. • Consider how the sound of music can be visually interpreted • Consider how this music may impact the poster design. • Be creative! Any style is acceptable, however, artwork must be

original! • The SHS Fine Arts Division will overlay ALL text information on

each of the three posters. • Consider creating areas of space where text can be overlaid on

the poster art so that will not interfere with the overall image. Notification & Publications:

• All participants that submit designs will be notified if their designs have been chosen in mid December.

• The three different artworks selected will be displayed on our SHS school monitors, web, printed on posters and programs.

• We will also acknowledge the students by name in the follow poster / programs.

o Consortium Band Concert – Weds. Jan. 10, 2018 o Consortium Choir Concert – Tues. Jan. 16, 2018 o Consortium Orchestra Concert – Thurs. Jan. 18, 2018

• All other student artwork submissions may be printed inside the Concert programs.
