2017-18
1. Motivating to drop outs to continue their education
As a part of extension activity we went to nearby schools and taught the students. Based on the
requirements we taught the subjects. Not only going to schools, we also taught the nearby children
and dropouts those who are not appearing for school. This campaign got good response from the
villagers.
2. Encouraging rural youth towards self-employment
To create awareness among the youth about different schemes and skill development programs
introduced by Govt. We also suggested how to approach through website to utilize these schemes
and programs.

3. Encouraging rural people to construct toilets
As a part of sanitation we encouraged all the villagers to construct the self-toilets and public toilets.
We explained how to get subsidy fund from the government & also explained various drawbacks
of not having toilets.

4. Conducting free medical camp
To reduce the health problems of the villagers this camp was organized with the help of Govt
hospital Tekkali. Doctors gave treatment to some of the villagers on these problems and also given
medicines. The villagers felt happy as taken care about their health.
5. Motivation classes to 10th class students
To overcome pressure and attempt the exams with cool mind a team of experts have taken
motivation classes to 10th class students. The students felt happy and relief after listening to the
classes.

6. Conducted revenue programme with panchayat secretary and Revenue inspector
To create awareness among villagers, a programme was organized with the cooperation of
panchayat secretary and Revenue inspector. They said about pensions of different categories
implement by government also given awareness on land related issues.
7. Cultural activities to 8th and 6th class students
Cultural Programs and Games also conducted for refreshment. Prizes were distributed to the
winners on the day of valedictory. Students enjoyed a lot.

1. Awareness Program on “Literacy Campaigning”

3. Awareness Program on Demonetization
To create awareness of Cashless Transactions among villagers, the programme was organized. A
rally was held in and around the village to make the people aware on Cashless Transactions. The
villagers were satisfied and gave a good sign of response on this move.
4. Orthopedic Camp by Govt hospital Tekkali
To reduce the pain of orthopedic problems of the villagers this camp was organized with the help
of Govt hospital Tekkali. Doctors gave treatment to some of the villagers on these problems and
also given medicines. The villagers felt happy as taken care about their health.

5. Agriculture issues
The programme was initiated to make the people aware of scientific agricultural approaches. The
chief guest and the guest of honour had been asked to suggest right scientific agricultural
approaches for the farmers.
6. Awareness about health to the NSS Volunteers
Medical camp was conducted in the village to make the people of the village more aware about
their health issues. Medical checkup was done by the invited doctors and suitable medicines were
given to the needy.

7. Cultural programs and games to MPUP school children and
distribution of prizes to MPUP school children
Cultural Programs and Games also conducted for refreshment. Prizes were distributed to the
winners on the day of valedictory. Students enjoyed a lot.
2015-16
1. Awareness on cleaning the surroundings
The NSS volunteers gave the awareness about cleaning the surroundings of their homes in K
Kotturu village. The volunteers also explained how to do the waste management and they have the
videos how the waste is converted in to electricity. They gave the awareness about how to separate
wet waste and dry waste.

2. Awareness on veterinary issues
The NSS volunteers brought two veterinary surgeons to the village to solve the veterinary issues.
The doctors diagnosed some of the cows, calf’s and goats and they distributed the medicine. The
doctors motivated the villagers to start the milk diaries.
3. Awareness on water management system
The NSS Volunteers explained the villagers how to do the water management in regular life and
during cultivation time. They explained about the construction of water pits to save the rain
water.

4. Awareness on literacy

2014-15
1. Creating awareness about making clean environment
A one week NSS Special camp was organized by AITAM NSS Unit. Inaugural session
was initiated by the village Sarpanch and the director of AITAM.
On this occasion P. Vasantha kumar who is M.P.T.C of the village felt happy for conducting this
type of programme for one week in the village.
The management of the AITAM had been asked to provide proper library facility for the
graduates in the village by the sarpanch. And also he wished all the best for the NSS Volunteers
those who are going to participate in one week NSS Special camp.
The NSS Volunteers are requested to give career guidance for 10th class students by the school
HM, N. Prasad patnaik.

Second session of the day, clean and green programme was organized by the NSS
Volunteers with school students and villagers.
2. Creating awareness about Agriculture issues to farmers
Second day programme was initiated to make the people aware of scientific agricultural
approaches. The chief guest and the guest of honour had been asked to suggest right scientific
agricultural approaches for the farmers.
The chief guest of the programme Dr. A.V. Ramana who is currently a professor of Agricultural
college, Naira made his speech on different scientific approaches. And the guest of honour Dr. P.
Satyanarayana who is a mandal agriculture officer of Tekkali gave his valuable suggestions on
how to protect crops from the insects. He also emphasized the usage of compost fertilizers.
Second session of the day, a demonstration was given by G. Appanna who is the Marketing Head
of Kubota, Srikakulam with his latest equipments.
At the end of the programme, videos had been played on latest agricultural approaches for more
effectiveness.

3. Creating awareness about Veternary issues to animals
Third day of the week, veterinary camp was organized. This camp was initiated by local Veterinary
doctors. On this occasion the chief guest of the programme, Dr. M. Prasada rao who is working in
Lingalavalasa, made his speech on India’s milk products and also he pointed out that India is one
of the largest milk producers in the world. He concluded his speech by suggesting the youth to
come forward to establish milk dairies with subsidies of the Indian government.
Second session of the day, the NSS Volunteers visited milk dairy form to know the more things
about the maintenance of the diary.

4. Creating awareness about health issues & medicine distribution
The fourth day of the week, there was an announcement about medical camp before organization.
Medical camp was conducted in the village to make the people of the village more aware about
their health issues. Medical checkup was done by the invited doctors and suitable medicines were
given to the needy.
Second session of the day, eye checkup event was done by the invited doctors and suitable
medicines were given to the needy and also suggested operations for the patients who have severe
problem. And finally, at the end of the programme some ayurvedic medicine were distributed to
prevent Swine-flu disease
5. Solving revenue issues like ration card, pension
A revenue camp was organized to discuss certain common problems faced by the villagers
regarding revenue issues, like eligibilities of monthly pension scheme of senior citizens, PH
Candidates and widows. Revenue inspector of Tekkali mandal suggested that every villager should
take his/her birth certificates, if anybody passes away they should take death certificates for them.
And also announced that those who are eligible to cast their votes, they should enroll their names
with the village revenue officer of the village. The Mandal revenue officer of Tekkali suggested
that every house should have its own toilet in order to make the village very clean.
At the end of the session some games like anthyakshari, musical chair and kerchief game had been
conducted for the school children.

6. Oldage home visit at Srikakulam
The morning session of the last day was ended up with the fruits distribution for old people of
prashanti oldage home. After reaching the oldage home, we had a brief interaction programme
with the people of the home to know the way they are leading their lives and problems and
difficulties at this juncture.
The evening session of the day was concluded with interactive session with young people of the
village. In the discussion, there were many questions raised by the young people regarding
education, career development and other issues. Finally we were asked to provide library facility
and computer facility to develop their knowledge. A promise was given to them for providing
required facilities by our college management. The camp was winded up with prize distribution
for the students who won different competitions.

1. Data collection on health, literacy and sanitation
A door to door to survey was done to collect the data regarding the health, literacy and sanitation
status in the village. A useful information was gathered out of the survey.

3. Sanitation and environmental protection, Reforestation programme
To create awareness about sanitation and leading hygienic life we taught the villagers about
environmental protection and also about plantation for reforestation.

5. Education programme on Agriculture.
A programme was conducted on Agriculture related activities to aware the villagers for getting
good benefits out of Agriculture.
6. Education programme on disaster management
The villagers were educated on how to protect themselves at the time of calamities. This is
indirectly about disaster management to reduce the loss of unexpected happenings.
7. Valedictory & Prizes distribution
After completing all the programs prizes and certificates were distributed to all the NSS
volunteers at the time of valedictory
