Arthritis Research Canada (ARC) is a national organization, headquartered in the province of British Columbia, and the largest clinical arthritis research centre in North America. Together with your partnership we can make a significant difference in advancing arthritis research.

The 2017 ARThritis Soirée will celebrate its fifth year as the signature fundraising event for Arthritis Research Canada. The event will be held Thursday May 18, 2017 at the Hotel Vancouver’s iconic roof top where guests will be treated to fabulous hors d'oeuvres, champagne, drinks, and entertainment, along with great raffle items, and silent and live auctions.

The ARThritis Soirée, presented as an elegant cocktail reception, is planned and executed under the leadership of volunteer Chair, Naz Panahi. The event is designed to attract the city’s most affluent business and community leaders, philanthropists, doctors and other health care professionals through the appreciation of art and the desire to support arthritis research.

Why an ARThritis Soirée? Research has shown that art adds to one’s wellbeing and therefore is a great element in managing chronic diseases on a holistic level. Moreover, art adds an extra factor of excitement and depth to the Soirée, as a different art form is introduced each year. Arthritis Research Canada is thrilled to announce the amazing world-renowned violinist Jenny Bae, accompanied by members of the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra, as the evening’s entertainment. Jenny’s dazzling performances have wowed international crowds for over a decade, performing solo and with artists such as Luciano Pavarotti, Eric Clapton, Elton John and Andrea Bocelli. The Julliard trained Bae has captivated audiences which havemost notably included the British Royal Family, Crown Princess of Saudi Arabia, George Clooney and Mikhail Gorbachev.

The ARThritis Soirée continues to succeed in its intent to raise awareness and funds in support of arthritis research, thanks to the generosity of sponsors and guests. About Us

Arthritis Research Canada (ARC) was created in 2000 in Vancouver by the world renownedscientist Dr. John Esdaile and a dedicated Board of Directors who shared a vision: to conductpractical research for everyday living; research that would immediately touch and improvethe lives of people living with arthritis.

Today, ARC is home to three centres across Canada; Vancouver, Calgary and Quebec, with a multi-disciplinary team of 70 scientists and research staff who are recognized as world leaders in clinical arthritis research excellence. ARC is dedicated to understanding, advancing and sharing knowledge about the cause of arthritis and addressing the issues that impact the lives of peopleliving with this disease. We conduct consumer-driven, clinical research related to arthritis prevention, diagnosis and quality of life issues that shape the way people manage arthritis today.
