2017 Homemaker Annual Meeting

Great Homemaker Annual Meeting! Pictures show many of award recipients

including those that received perfect attendance awards and VSU awards.

This year our Friend of Homemaker was Cherri Figgins and our 2016/17

Homemaker Go Getter went to Denise Dean.

Quilt Club News

“Oh, Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas,

Tree.” October’s lesson should be fun.

We will be making a paper pieced

Christmas tree block. Paper piecing is

fun and easy. Once you master the

flipping and sewing, you can make very

detailed, accurate blocks. Mark your

calendars for October 16 at 6:30 at

Cindy Brown’s quilt shop in town.

Tip of the month: As you're making

your quilt squares, press each time you

finish a seam in a pile of squares. If you

trim and measure as you are building your

seams, your quilt will be much more

accurate.

Remember I need five volunteers for each
