INTRODUCTION
TheVXONEClasshasbeencreatedasastrictone-designclasswherethetruetestwhenracedisbetweencrews,notboatsandequipment.
VXONEhulls,keelassembly,rudder,rigandstandingriggingshallonlybesuppliedbyentitieslicensedbytheTMHandreferredtointheclassrulesasaLicensedManufacturer.CertifiedEquipmentshallcomplywiththeVXONEBuildersConstructionManual.
VXONEhulls,keelassembly,rudder,rigandstandingrigging,may,afterhavingleftthemanufacturer,onlybealteredtotheextentpermittedinSectionCoftheclassrules.OwnersandcrewsshouldbeawarethatcompliancewithrulesinSectionCistheresponsibilityofthecompetitor.
VXONEsailsaremeasurementcontrolledandmaybemanufacturedbyanysailmaker.Sailsshallbemeasuredbyanapprovedmeasurerandappropriatemarkingsplacedonthesailstoshowsailmeasurementhasbeenperformedandcomplywiththeseclassrules.
RulesregulatingtheuseofequipmentduringaracearecontainedinSectionCoftheseclassrules,inERSPartIandintheRacingRulesofSailing.

PARTII–REQUIREMENTSANDLIMITATIONSThecrewandtheboatshallcomplywiththerulesinPartIIwhenracing.IncaseofconflictSectionCshallprevail.
TherulesinPartIIareclosedclassrules.CertificationcontrolandequipmentinspectionshallbecarriedoutinaccordancewiththeERSexceptwherevariedinthisPart.
SectionC–ConditionsforRacingSectionCcontainsrulesandrequirementsduringanevent,includingracing,andpermittedalterationstoVXONEhulls,hullappendages,rigs,riggingandsails.
C.1 GENERAL
C.1.1 RULES(a) RRS50.4shallnotapply. (b) RRS42.2(a)ischangedasfollows:Unlimitedtrimmingandeasingofthe
asymmetricalgennakertopromoteaplaneshallbepermitted.(c) TheERSPartI–UseofEquipmentshallapply.
C.1.2 OUTSIDEASSISTANCE Exceptinanemergencyaboatshallreceivenooutsideassistancefrom:radio
communicationincludingcellphones,visualorvocalsignalling,ortransferofequipmentorvictualsfromsupportboatsnotavailabletoallcompetitorsfromthetimeshereachestheracingareauntilsheleavestheracingareaafterthelastraceofthedayorwhensheretiresfromracing.
C.2 CREWC.2.1 LIMITATIONS
(a) Thecrewshallconsistofaminimumof2persons.AnymemberofthecrewmayactashelmspersonatanytimeiftheymeettheprovisionsofC.2.1(d).
(b) NocrewmembershallbesubstitutedduringaneventunlessexpresswrittenconsentisgrantedbytheJuryorRaceCommittee.Ifacrewsubstitutionisrequested,thetotalcrewweightshallnotchangebymorethan10kg.
(c) WORLDSAILINGgroup3sailorsmayskipperorcrewonlyiftheyarenotorwillnotbecompensatedforcompeting.Skipperandcrewshallsignadeclarationofcompliance.
(d) InaclasssanctionedeventeachhelmspersonshallbeaVXCAfullorassociatememberingoodstandingwiththeVXCA.
C.3 PERSONALEQUIPMENT
