1Waste Oil Collecting Training to hotel steward team

Kolza Wastesteward team at the begining of the season. At the end of the season, it was observed that the amount of waste oil collecting increased 36% compared to the previous year. Waste oil training has to be done at the beginning of the season.

2 Kites from Wastes and Flying on the Beach Event 12/05/2017

Kites from wastes that had been produced by our sister school Ahu Primary Secondary School students were blown away in the festive atmosphere on D-Resort Grand Azur Blue Flag Beach. In addition to the fruit juice provided at the stand, the social responsibility team helped students when they try to fly their kites. Students understand the importance of recycling and recovery.

3 Costume Showdown from Wastes 05/06/2017

The costumes designed by sister school Ahu Elementary school students and 4th grade students from waste materials were exhibited on the World Environmental Day with a fashion show organized with the participation of all students, teachers and parents in the school garden. D-Resort Grand Azur'ssocial responsibility team also took part in the costumes of the -Recycling- ,-Global Warming- and -Water Is Future-, which were also prepared from waste materials. Before and after the show, and the book "Tips for an Environmentally Friendly Life" of the Ministry of Environmental and Urbanism were distributed on the stand which is founded by the team of D-Resort Grand Azur . After the event costumes were presented to the school.

4Carbon Balancing Certificate and Presentation to the Hotel Group Guests

During the winter season

2016-2017

Carbon(CO2) which is accured as a result of the hotel activities was balancedby contributing to the GERES Wind Energy Project through Demir Enerji, acarbon balancing institution whose a member of Climate Volunteers. Thisgreen movement, which is also important in terms of being the first carbonbalancing application in the accommodation sector in the world, provided abalance of 20 tons of CO2, which is 10 tons in 2016 and 10 tons in 2017,which were unveiled throughout the stay of group guests staying in winterseason. Carbon Balancing Certificates have been presented to represent ourguests due to inform and create awareness.

5 Plastic Cover PickingCampaign Activity All season

Approximately 10.000 plastic caps collected by our sister school Ahu Primary-Secondary school students and staffs children are sent to the Turkish SpinalCord Paralysis Association (TOFD) as all the cargo expenses beared by thehotel. Across collecting caps 2 handicapped cars are dominated. By this waychildren, hotel staffs and their children understood that important of beeingand can be gain even if with plastic caps.

Waste and RecyclingPainting and Poster Competition Activity

As an our sister school Ahu Primary-Secondary School eco-school 2nd yearactivity, D-Resort Grand Azur Social Responsibility Team organized a postercompetition in the 5th grade and painting competition in the 4th grade which topicsare «Wastes and Recycling». D-Resort Grand Azur supported that activity not onlybe a gift sponsor both also member of the selective committee. We have thus aimedto encourage our students to think about the future ecosystem and to produce ideasand solutions. One-tree card in Balikesir Forests Card from TEMA, a book of theÇekül Foundation's «House Seeker Juniper Seed» named and a special glass pinetree collar of the Çekül Foundation were given to each class 1st, 2nd, 3rdchampions. As 15 pension awards, a Tree Card from TEMA was gifted by the hotel.

7 Beach Cleaning Activity23/10/2017

D-Resort Grand Azur Social Responsibility Team and 4-C students from AhuElementary School gave support to Blue Flag information and Travelife «MakeHolidays Greener» campaign on D-Resort Grand Azur beach. From time to time theguests and the people who use the beach were accompanied to collect wastes on thebeach. Participants of campaign collected butts in first 15 minutes and then collctedrecycleable wastes in next 15 minutes. At the end of the activity all the wastes areshown with together and unfurl letter banners than write Make Holdiays Greener2017 Travelife . Before the event students were served cake fruit juice.
