1. C.M.DEO MEMORIAL PRIZE: awarded every year

to a student who tops the first year of M.Sc . ( i.e given to a student of

M.Sc II ) . Cash 8000/- plus a trophy.

Details of the prize:

Started from 2008 onwards.

Late Dr.C.M. Deo’s sister donated an amount of 1 lakh rupees to start this

prize in memory of her brother Late Dr.c.M.deo who was an alumnus of the

department. The amount is kept in fixed deposit in the IOS employees credit

cooperative society @ 9% p.a. . Out of the interest earned, some amount is

spent on trophy and balance amount is given as cash.

Awarded to a student i) who is from our college (IOS,Nagpur)

Statistics)

Given to a student of M.Sc I at the beginning of the session.

Details of the prize:

Started in the year 2013. An amount of Rs.one lakh was donated by our

Details of the prize:

Started from the year 2017-18 onwards

Param pujya Swamini Gayananda (alias Dr. Vijaya S. Hege ) former Professor and Head,

Department of Statistics has donated Rs. One lakh . for instituting an award consisting of Gold

medal & Prize money to the topper of M.Sc. Statistics Examination from Institute of Science,

Nagpur . The amount has been l kept in fixed deposit in Bank of India, Rt Road , Nagpur . The

interest earned through it annually will be utilized for giving Gold medal along with a cash prize

of the remaining amount . The award will be named as “ Prof V.P. Godambe &

Dr.Vijaya Hege Award “ and will be given every year starting from the year 2017 ( S/2017

examination) to a student of Institute of Science as follows:-

Gold medal plus prize money of remaining amount of the interest earned to be given to a student

of Institute of Science, Nagpur who scores the highest marks among all students from Institute

of Science at the M.Sc. Statistics Examination .
