SECURITY ADVISOR IDENTIFICATION BADGES PROPER BADGE DISPLAY:

A key component in the effort to ensure the security of the Electric

Boat QP Facility is the proper display of employee identification

badges.

Recently there have been incidents where employee badges have

not been legible or properly displayed. All Team Members are

responsible for wearing their badge on the upper left side of their

body at all times while on the facility. This applies whether you are

walking or driving while on the facility. Badges must be worn to

comply with DSS, EB and NAVY requirements.

The picture, department number and badge number should be

visible and legible.

Supervisor buttons, service award pins, etc. should not be

placed on the badge; however you may affix them to the badge

clip.

Badges that are worn, faded or broken will be replaced free of

charge. Please send an email to “EB QP Badge Replacement”

– include the name, badge # and reason for a new badge.

Should you lose your badge a replacement can also be ordered

using the same method. Any team member who finds a badge

that is not theirs must immediately return it to Security. Em-

ployees are not allowed to possess another employee’s badge

or more than one of their own.

**EMPLOYEES MAY NEVER USE THEIR IDENTIFICATION

BADGE TO ALLOW ANY OTHER EMPLOYEE ENTRANCE

THROUGH FACILITY TURNSTILES**

TEMPORARY BADGES: All Team Members are reminded that temporary badges are issued only at Gate 1 for the Building 60 Complex and Gate 14 for the Waterfront Complex. Temporary badges are NOT programmed for use in any turn-

stile. When issued a temporary badge, the bearer must utilize that

badge for their entire shift and are restricted to Gate 1 and Gate 14 for ingress and egress.

Team Members are also reminded that they are required to

return the temporary badge to the Security Officer at the gate as they depart for the day.

The badge will expire after 13 hours and cannot be used by the

same team member on the next business day. Should you require a temporary badge for more than one day,

you must obtain a new one each day from either Gate 1 or Gate 14.

Identification badges are the property of Electric Boat Corpo-

ration and, as such much be surrendered upon severance from the company and/or upon demand from any management au-thority or security representative of the Corporation.
