real estate group has also done some creative and valuable things such as transforming a former warehouse into a manu-facturing plant for a new cus-tomer in Texas. Additionally we will be gearing up for some more Real Estate development in 2014. All of the above is not possible without all of our Romark Asso-ciates working together with purpose and passion day in and day out. It is all of you who truly make the difference in whether we have good outcomes or great outcomes and we are very grateful for all of you. Our focus on Safety, Quality, Productivity and Sustainability are our guid-ing principles and you all focus on these so naturally. Thank you, enjoy your Holidays and a Happy Healthy New Years to all. Looking forward to more great outcomes together in 2014. Marc & Amy Lebovitz
2013 has come and gone so fast and while it moved quickly we still managed some truly Romarkable achievements. In Texas we brought both the Lancaster and the Waco opera-tions to new heights of efficiency and customer service which was noticed by our customer and as important, it was noticed by Mars key customers like Wal Mart & McLane. Texas also faced some complicated circum-stances as a very Confused & Mighty Mother Nature brought freezing temperatures and Ice for an extended period recently. Thanks to quick thinking and attention to detail we safely nav-igated this situation all while staying focused on service. It was truly amazing. In Pennsylvania we implemented a brand new warehouse man-agement system called Red Prai-rie which will be the new oper-ating system to our customer worldwide. We were not only the first in the network to go live, we were the first 3PL on the planet to install this latest ver-sion of the Red Prairie system. We managed this transfor-
mation with very little disrup-tion to service and all of our Ro-mark people made the ultimate difference. Next we will be in-stalling this system in Lancaster & Waco in 2014. The collaboration between our sites has really grown and con-tinues to be impressive as the company becomes more con-nected in not only associate re-lationships but adding greater consistency to how we operate around the country. This team-work also showed up at ICW (our coffee commodity opera-tions in NJ & FL) where we grew the business by 2X since 2012, which in this very competitive business is no easy feat. In addition to our current growth we had the opportunity to respond to requests for pro-posals from Starbucks, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters and many other large scale Import-ers. Our internal and external Co-Pack operations have hit new levels of growth and effi-ciency and we are expecting even more growth in 2014 as we add more equipment and projects to all locations. Our

David Lewandowski families that moved to Texas. His father later transferred to a shift manager role before retiring in 1998. During his time there, he actually helped design machinery to imprint product with the letter S and traveled to plants in England and the Netherlands. David has a true sense of loy-alty and appreciation for our customer like none other.
Dav id ’ s grandparent s worked at customer’s plant in Newark, NJ when it first opened after World War II and carpooled from Hack-ettstown. His grandfather was called “The Utility Man” because he could work on anything and everything in the plant. His grandmother, Zita, first worked in the plant on the line and then worked in the office completing vari-ous tasks such as accounts payable. Both retired in the 1980’s.
Two of David’s great aunts also worked on the line for the customer. In addition, his Aunt Marijo worked at the plant in the summers while going to college. David’s parents also worked for our customer at Hacketts-town. His mother worked in the keypunch department. After Vietnam, David’s dad attended engineering school and then was a contract en-gineer at the plant. In 1972 he was offered a full-time engineering job in Texas to build the new plant in Waco. They moved in August of 1973. Thus, David’s family was one of the original nine

Here are a few safe operating guidelines to consider when operating an aerial lift:
Lift controls are to be tested each day prior to use to determine controls and equipment operate properly and are in safe work-
ing condition.
Only trained/authorized persons are to operate aerial lifts.
Belting off to adjacent poles, structures, or equipment while working from the lift is not permitted.
Employees must always stand firmly on the floor of the basket and never sit or climb on the edge of the basket, use planks, lad-
ders, or other devices to elevate or extend the working area.
Use the safety chains to block off the area where you will be working at height. (i.e. repairing dumped product, cleaning racks
above level one.) Chains must be stretched across the entire aisle to prevent traffic from passing under or around the lift truck.
David has been a member of the Romark family for 13 years. He was hired as our First Shift RDC Manager in 2000. Within the first year, he was given the opportunity to oversee the Waco Co-Pack operations and then was promoted to Operations Manager in 2009. During this time he has formed great relationships with our custom-er. He is a primary contact for them due to his extensive knowledge of our business. Interestingly, his history with our customer actually dates back much further.
Safety Success in Texas In 2013 our Lancaster facility
focused on improving safety.
Our new fleet of stand-up
forklifts increases driver’s
visibility while decreasing
ergonomics related issues that
the previous sit-down forklifts
posed.
Our safety committee brain-
incidents and accidents by
40% of what they were in
2012.
We wanted to carry on the
same focus and success for
safety into 2014. We ended
the year with a safety slogan
contest. Our winner is Tedrick
Rowe and our safety slogan is
stormed on many ideas to pro-
mote safety in the facility. We
challenged and competed
against each other to set and
meet facility record goals. Our
entire facility went incident and
accident free for several periods
throughout the year. By the end
of the year our efforts were
successful and we decreased our

Jobs for You Expo
Nearly 1,700 students at-tended the expo. Events like this are important to us, as it allows for connection with potential future employees and allows for us to share information on careers in
logistics.
Romark Logistics of PA par-ticipated in the “Jobs for You” expo at the Hazleton Area High School on Friday,
November 8, 2013.
“Jobs for You” offered stu-dents the chance to learn more about the businesses in our area and the potential
career paths students can
pursue.
We were able to provide the students with information on how we operate, the re-quirements for employment and what type of employee
training is needed.
stayed a week and one half in Redlands to assist and also went back to Victorville a couple of days to assist with issues and then headed to the next site which was Greenville, MS. Again the 3 Amigos (JR, Randal and Fer-nando) were on the night shift for 2 weeks to support the operations. The Green-ville site went live on Nov.
3rd and the support was c o m p l e t e d o n N o v . 15th. Now we begin prepa-rations for the Red Prairie transition at the 2 Texas sites of Waco and Lancaster - these will be coming up at
the first of the year.
We started the journey in Hazleton, PA where we went live with Red Prairie, our new warehouse management sys-tem on Mar. 24th. It was a bit of a challenge in the beginning and needless to say we learned a lot. Once Hazleton was stabilized we began our testing for the next site which was Victorville, CA. We start-ed training and testing for Victorville as some of our three Amigos (JR, Fernando and Randal) were also getting involved with the set-up, train-ing and testing of the first pet site in Redlands, CA. During this time Randal went to Vic-torville to conduct user training and to Romeoville, IL to con-duct some refresher training on
TME. On Oct. 5th the three amigos paired up and helped with the go-live in Victorville while working nights for 2 weeks. We had a lot of fun working together with the site and made frequent trips to the local convenience store for coffee, diet coke, and beef jerky and breakfast every morning at IHOP. After finish-ing the work in Victorville we
immediately returned the fol-lowing week to Redlands, CA on Oct 20th to assist with this go-live. It was still the 3 Amigos (JR, Randal, and Kevin Gamber) because we picked up another fellow Romark Associate, but one had to stay back and assist his site. We

Hazleton Celebrates 10 Years in Business
Waco associates were rewarded with an appreciation luncheon on July 24 and 25. Associates were served steaks, baked pota-
toes, and salad.
The Hazleton facility celebrated ten years of operation with a company-wide event on October 3-4. A lunch was provided for all associates and during this time we reviewed the strides we have made in safety, quality and productivity over the past ten years. In celebration of the event and Breast Cancer Awareness month each shift had
a photo taken. Thanks to all of our associates who have made everything we do possible. We owe it all to you!
Waco Happenings
In May our Texas facility planted a tree in memory of our beloved founder, Roy Lebovitz. Along with the tree is a beautiful stoned path that features red bricks in the shape of a heart. A bench is also placed in this area so associates and visitors can take time to reflect. A special thank you to Debbie Irwin for all of her handwork on
this project.

“Teen Bowlers Circuit”.. A reward in many ways
Author: Brad Ellis
After match play, the top 4 boys and girls head up a 4 game stair step ladder final to determine the winner. All top 4 finalists are then eligi-ble for scholarship money
that is placed in a college fund account to use once
they graduate high school.
The winners of both divisions received championship jack-ets and a plaque. An aver-age of about 50 participants a month and my highest en-try number so far was July in
Denton, TX at 83 bowlers.
I grew up with an interest in baseball and bowling. At the age of 8, I started bowl-ing and developed my skills throughout the years. I at-tribute my youth develop-
ment in bowling to partici-pating in youth leagues and
youth tournaments.
In February 2013, I started the Teen Bowlers Circuit, a youth scholarship bowling tournament. This is a scratch (non-handicap) tournament open to youth girls and boys who are not yet collegiate eligible. This is a traveling tournament that goes to a
different bowling center around the Dallas/Ft. Worth
area each month.
In October 2013, it was in north of Austin, TX in
Georgetown. I currently have youth bowlers that come from all over the state of Texas as well as Oklahoma and Louisiana. On tourna-ment weekends, boys and girls complete on similar lanes conditions and after qualifying, the top 8 from each division are back on for 8 more games of head-to-
head match play.

Health Matters
Our companies were proud to honor Breast Cancer Awareness month in Octo-ber and also shared information on Pros-tate Cancer Awareness with our associ-ates in September. In addition to shar-ing health information on screenings, warning signs and resources, October saw all of our associates wearing pink safety shirts each Friday of the month. In Hazleton, we had occasion to share this effort with the celebration of our 10 year anniversary at that location. It was truly meaningful for me to stand in a room honoring Roy, thanking our associ-ates - several of whose lives have been
impacted by cancer - for their dedicat-ed service, and connecting a personal
story to our reflective day.
I want to share that story with you in the hope that the messages of early detec-tion, proactive treatment and support can be shared with your loved ones. In 2012 I went for a routine mammogram, something I have been doing annually since age 40 with no family history of breast cancer. I was called back for a follow-up mammogram as an irregular growth was observed. I reached out to cousins who are doctors and had been instrumental in guiding Roy to early de-tection, treatment and cure of colon can-cer. They recommended a radiologist specializing in breast imaging who was able to verify a small growth through ultrasound and multiple needle biopsies. My greatest fear was the unknown. Fol-lowing a confirming diagnosis, MRI and

visit to a surgical oncologist (all within 24 hours), I invited my children and then future son-in-law to dinner and told them that I had Stage 1A invasive ductal carcinoma – a type of breast cancer. I also told them that it was found early and that I would do everything possible to get healthy. I was not going to let breast cancer define me and I was determined to own and overcome it. My kids were both worried and relieved that I had shared my diagno-
sis with them honestly and clearly.
Based on further diagnostic testing – the BRCA tests confirming no other clinical evi-
dence of breast or ovarian cancer. I was able to schedule a lumpectomy (a proce-dure to surgically remove the tumor and check lymph nodes) four weeks after my initial mammogram. Surgery was successful and fortunately the cancer had not spread to my lymph nodes. I had to miss 3 days of work following surgery and my mother and children were with me for surgery. My brother not only went to the radiologist with me, but was the first person to visit
post-surgery.
The tumor was sent for lab and ONCA genetic testing to measure the likelihood of recurrence and determine the course of my follow-up treatment. I was able to qualify for the minimum course of radiation thera-py without the need for chemotherapy. I scheduled 16 days of radiation and with the help of rides, a water bottle, iPod of favorite music from my sister-in-law, thera-py, and men’s white t-shirts to wear fol-
lowing radiation, I was able to be at work every day. This, and the care and love that I received, turned out to be the best medicine in my cure. I will continue to take one pill a day for five years and follow-up with my surgeon, oncologist and breast imaging doctor as well as main-taining my day to day focus on wellness, including exercise, good nutrition, sleep
and lots of water :).
While I was VERY lucky with my “five minutes of breast cancer” as I now refer to it, there are others that we know who weren’t as lucky and my heart goes out to
you. Please know that I consider myself blessed to have had early detection, the support of my Romark (and Lebovitz) family and friends, and the ability to pro-actively find a great team of providers (all but 2 in our health insurance plan)
who helped me to manage my care.
Please share a reminder with your loved ones to go for preventive health screen-ings. I am available to provide encour-agement, hold hands, find resources or say a prayer. We are a FAMILY business
and our people come first.
Warmly,
Amy S. Lebovitz
