APRIL 2019 BOARD HIGHLIGHTS

Board Members in Attend-ance: Roger, Kasey, Rhonda, Bill, AJ, Jost, Nancy, Kasey Guests: Dennis and Sandy Chil-ders – caretakers Murray Bankhead – re: lights in ring 1 and Kiwanis tent rental set up Call to order by Rhonda: 7:06 PM The Childers: Introduction to Board and reported working on electrical and sewer to the trailer and other repairs. Murray: 1) Rodeo to apply for a grant from the County to pay for changing Arena 1 lights to LED. He hasn’t vetted any installation com-panies, but will get going on the grant. He knows Rodeo friendly electricians that can install. He handed out a proposal that summed up a $14,000 estimate on the cost to install which is what the grant money would be for. The Board ap-proved the grant writing. 2) The Kiwanians request-ed a tent rental for a dinner event to PVRA the Saturday before the Ro-deo, which would mean tent set up three days earlier than usual using the same Rodeo tent. Rental would be $200 to PVRA. Ring 2 and warm up would be out of use. Still in plan-ning stages. Nancy moved to allow early tent raising, Rhonda second-ed, passed. Approval of Minutes: Bill moved to approve March Board minutes, Jost seconded, passed.
