DAUGHTERS FOR ZION PRAYER NETWORK PURPOSE

The purpose of the Daughters For Zion Prayer Network is to organize prayer groups all over the world to pray for the following:

1. The peace of Jerusalem2. The well-being of the state of Israel3. The continued growth and development of Christians United

For Israel4. Prayer targets given to us by our Founder, Pastor John Hagee.

THE JEWS, THE NATIONS AND THE CHURCH

According to Paul’s writings in 1 Corinthians 10:32, there are three people groups: the Jews, the Nations and the Church – all peoples of the earth fall into one of these three groups— Israel nationally and individually (Matt 24:27-25:30); the Gentiles or nations (Matt 25:31-46) and the church (2 Cor 5:10-11).

God chose the Jews because He loved them and because of the promises He made to their ancestors, the Biblical patriarchs: Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. The Jews are the descen-dants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. All of Jacob’s sons and their descendants are God’s chosen people.

“For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth God chose the Jews.” Deuteronomy 7:6 (NASB)

God also chose the Jews for the purpose of revealing Himself to all the people of the world. In the Torah (Hebrew Bible), there were only two groups, the Jews and the nations. All the nations can be traced back to Noah. (Genesis 10), The word for nations in scripture is referred to as, “Gentiles, heathens or Greeks”.

Israel is the only nation created by a sovereign act of God. The land of Israel belongs to God Himself. Therefore, God has the right to give it to whomever He chooses. God gave the title deed for the land of Israel to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants – the Jews forever. (Genesis 15:18, 17: 2-8). He then cut a covenant with Abraham in Genesis 15 known as the “Covenant between the pieces.” This is a covenant between God, the Jewish people and the land and is an eternal covenant (Psalm 105: 6-11).

Ishmael, Father of the Arab nations, was excluded from the title deed to the land in Gene-sis 17:19-21. According to Scripture, God gave Ishmael and his descendants the Arabian Peninsula (Genesis 25: 12-18). Therefore, modern day Palestinians have no biblical man-date to own the land.

In the book of Acts came the revelation that salvation was for all people. This mystery of the church was revealed in the first-century through the epistles and the writings of the Apostles Paul and Peter. The church is comprised of all the people who will believe in Jesus as their Savior. Through Jesus and His shed blood, we all have access to salvation. The church is referred to as the Body of Christ and Jesus is the head. God’s vision for the Church is to be without spot or wrinkle, going from glory to glory, and doing great ex-ploits for Him in Jesus Name. We are seated with Him in the heavenly places and are to demonstrate His love to the world and walk by faith trusting in Jesus.


ISRAEL - THE LAND

The land of Israel is unique in all the world. It is the only land God has called “My Land” (Leviticus 25:23), and it is the only land that has been given as a covenant possession to a specific people group, the Jews (Genesis 15:18). God Himself set the borders of the land (Joshua 1:4) and He is very jealous for Israel and watches over it continually (Psalm 125:2). He also calls us to watch over it as watchman on the walls (Isaiah 62: 6-7).

According to Joel 3:2, God has promised to enter into judgment with those who try to di-vide it and parcel it out to other nations. Although there has been a continuous presence of Jews in the land of Israel for over 3,000 years, God’s promise, which can be seen through-out the Old Testament, was that He would one day restore the land of Israel to the people of Israel (Jeremiah 30:3). This became a reality in our day. The reestablishment of the nation of Israel on May 14, 1948 is a testimony to the faithfulness of God and His promise to His people, the Jewish people. Because of the covenant God made between Himself, the Jewish people, and the Land of Israel, you cannot separate them.

ISRAEL – THE PEOPLE

The people of Israel are descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Since God established an everlasting covenant with Abraham and his descendants, the people of Israel will al-ways be God’s covenant people. He will never break His oath to them (Deuteronomy 7:6-8 and 32:9-10).

“For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. The LORD your God has chosen you out of all the peoples on the face of the earth to be his

people, his treasured possession. The LORD did not set his affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. 8 But it was because the LORD loved you and kept the oath he swore to your ancestors that he brought you out with a mighty hand and redeemed you from the land of slavery, from the

power of Pharaoh king of Egypt.” Deuteronomy 7:6-8 NIV

“For the LORD’s portion is his people, Jacob his allotted inheritance. In a desert land he found him, in a barren and howling waste. He shield-

ed him and cared for him; he guarded him as the apple of his eye.” Deuteronomy 32:9-10 NIV

The people of Israel are precious and holy to the Lord. They are the apple of His eye and His covenant people. God will never forsake them nor cast them away, regardless of any opinions of man or church ideology. The Jewish people are His, and He will never replace them (Isaiah 49:14-16).


THE NATIONS

Genesis 10 gives the lineage of Noah that formed the 70 nations, from which all people of the earth are descended. The Hebrew word goyim can be translated as nations, gentiles or any person who is not Jewish.The Jewish people are a chosen nation that God separated from all other nations to be a people holy unto Himself.1

“Thus you are to be holy to Me, for I the LORD am holy; and I have set you apart from the peoples to be Mine.” Leviticus 20:26 (NASB)

God scattered Israel among the nations because of their disobedience (Genesis 11:9). Although He dispersed the Jewish people into the nations of the world, God promised to gather the Jews back to the land of Israel (Deuteronomy 30:3; Nehemiah 1:9). We have seen God fulfill His promise.

Therefore say, ‘Thus says the Lord God, “I will gather you from the peoples and assemble you out of the countries among which you have been scat-

tered, and I will give you the land of Israel.” Ezekiel 11:17 (NASB)

Unfortunately, the nations have not embraced nor loved the Jewish people. There has been much persecution of God’s chosen people with many wars and terror attacks and a rise of anti-Semitism throughout the world. Christians United for Israel’s purpose is to speak out against this horrific propaganda, to speak out against the lies and deceptions of anti-Sem-itism and to educate, shed light and bring truth about God’s covenant land and the Jewish people.

To organize prayer groups for the purpose of praying for the peace of Jerusalem, the well-being of the state of Israel, for the continued growth and development of Christians United For Israel, and any other prayer targets the Holy Spirit would lay on the heart of our Founder and National Director.

Pastor John Hagee’s vision is to organize prayer in every city in the nation. These prayer times can take place in a church, a home, office, prayer teleconference or any format that is conducive to prayer.

PRAYER MEETINGS

Each prayer time will have a specific agenda so there is a coordinated spiritual impact.

2. Pray that God will enlighten and touch the hearts of every Bible-believing Pastor in America to join CUFI.

a. The Bible commands us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6), to speak out for Zion’s sake (Isaiah 62:1), to be watchmen on the walls of Jerusalem (Isaiah 62:6), and to bless the Jewish people (Genesis 12:3). These and so many other verses of the Bible have one overriding message—as Christians, we have a biblical obliga-tion to defend Israel and the Jewish people in their time of need. Here are seven solid reasons why Christians should support Israel:


1) I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you. Genesis 12:3. God has promised to bless the man or nation that blesses Israel and the Jewish people. History has proven beyond reasonable doubt that the nations that have blessed the Jewish people have been blessed and the nations that have cursed Israel and the Jewish people have been cursed.

2) Paul recorded in Romans 15:27, “For if the Gentiles have shared in their (Jews) spiritual things, they indebted to minister to them (Jews) also in material things.” Christians owe a debt of gratitude to the Jewish people for their contributions that gave birth to the Christian faith. Jesus Christ, a prominent Rabbi from Nazareth, said, “…salvation is of the Jews” (John 4:22). Consider what the Jewish people have given to Christianity:

· The sacred Scripture· The Prophets· The Patriarchs· Mary, Joseph and Jesus Christ of Nazareth· The 12 Disciples and Apostles

3) While some Christians try to deny the connection between Jesus of Nazareth and the Jews of the world, Jesus never denied His Jewishness. He was born Jewish, He was circumcised on the eighth day in keeping with Jewish tradition, He had his Bar Mitzvah on his 13th birthday, He kept the law of Moses, He wore the prayer shawl Moses commanded all Jewish men to wear, and He died on a cross with an inscription over His head, “King of the Jews”! Jesus considered the Jew-ish people His family. Jesus said in Matthew 25:40, “Verily I say onto you, In as much as you have done unto the least of these my brethren [the Jewish people…Gentiles were never called His brethren], ye have done it unto me.”

4) Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that love thee (Psalm 122:6).This is a scriptural principle and fruit of prosperity that is tied to blessing Israel and the Holy City Jerusalem. Jerusalem is the eternal capital of an eternal people, the Jewish people. Jerusalem is the center of the world. (Ezekiel 38:12). The Lord Himself calls Jerusalem “My holy mountain” (Joel 3:17) and as an eternal guardian to His people, Psalm 125:2 declares “as the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so is the Lord round about His people from this time forth and forever.”

5) Pray that the enemies of Israel are brought to confusion and defeated, and that Israel’s borders are protected; air, land, sea and underground.


“Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O God! For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; And those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your peo-ple, And consulted together against Your sheltered ones. They have said,

“Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, That the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” For they have consulted together with one

consent; They form a confederacy against You.” Psalm 83:1-5

6) Pray discernment, wisdom, protection, resilience and strength for the Israel’s government leaders; for all members of the Israeli military; for the police and se-curity forces and for intelligence agencies as they guard and defend their nation.

3. Praying for Israel’s Leaders:

a. Prime Minister: wisdom (Proverbs 2:6, I Kings (3:9), courage (Deuteronomy 31:6), protection (Psalm 91) and health (Psalm 107:20).

b. Minister of Defense: Courage to lead (Isaiah 41:10-13) with wisdom (I Chronicles 28:20).

c. Chief of Staff of Israel Defense Forces to keep in all diligence a combat ready mili-tary (Psalm 18:34-35), have the courage to lead (Joshua 1:6) and operate in wisdom (Proverbs 2:6).

d. Head of the Mossad (Intelligence Agency) to operate in discernment (Ecclesiastes 8:5), wisdom (Psalm 31:24) and be protected (Psalm 59:1).

4. Pray for specific prayer targets our National Director and Founder of CUFI would have lain on their hearts.

IVSECTION IVPRAYING EFFECTIVELY


A CALL TO PRAY

Prayer is our vital connection with God. It is communion with heaven. Prayer is the spiri-tual communication and the channel through which we make tremendous power available in the earth.

Our founder, John Hagee said, “Little prayer, little power; much prayer, much power.” The leadership of CUFI and the foundation of the Daughters For Zion prayer network believe that prayer is the foundation to every successful Christian endeavor. Our Prayer mission will be carried out when every DFZ member joins in dynamic prayer with the help of the Holy Spirit. Then we will see the mercy, love and power of God released at every level for Israel, the Jewish people and the world. What a glorious opportunity to be used by God to further His plan and purpose for Israel.

WHY WE PRAY

As Christians, we have a responsibility to pray for our leaders, so they will make the right decisions (I Timothy 2:1-4). Because of the way nations have treated the Jewish people over the many centuries, they will be judged (Matthew 25:32). Jesus will judge all nations at the beginning of the Millennial reign of Christ. Every nation, to receive their God-giv-en inheritance, will have to give account of how they treated Israel and the Jewish people and if they divided the land (Joel 3:2, 12). WE must pray that our nation lines up with the Word of God concerning Israel in order to avoid reaping judgment.

HOW TO PRAY

Mark 11:24 AMPC “For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, be-lieve (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it].”Hebrews 11:6 AMPC “But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].”Therefore, as we pray, we must pray in faith believing God hears and answers our prayers.

USING GOD’S WORD TO PRAY

The Word of God is the very foundation of our prayer life (Deuteronomy 4:9; Acts 6:4). The Grace of God helps us to come to the throne of God by faith and receive His precious promises (Habakkuk 2:4; Acts 20:32). As we pray His Word and promises over Israel He watches over His Word to perform it, and sees that it never fails (Isaiah 55:11). We never underestimate the power of praying His Word (Zechariah 4:6).


PRAYER GROUP PLANNING

The power of corporate prayer is the power of unified prayer. Look at Acts 4:24, “And when they heard it, they lifted their voices together with one united mind.”…it was their unity of mind as well as heart that produced the power to shake that place! Unified prayer brings the multiplied power of God, or the corporate anointing. This kind of prayer is significant. When we agree together, we link together, assisting one another by the Spirit through prayer. Unity brings the corporate anointing.

“For wherever two or three are gathered (drawn together as My followers) in (into) My name, there I Am in the midst of them.” Matthew 18:20 AMPC

CONFESSION FOR ISRAEL—THE LAND

Father, we say that Israel shall have all the land that You have promised her (Deuteronomy 27:3). We thank You, Father, that the land of Israel is blossoming and filling the face of the world with fruit. We say that this land shall no longer be called forsaken and desolate, but it shall be called Hephzibah and Beulah, for You delight in Your land (Isaiah 51:3). We thank You, Lord, that You are doing marvelous things in this land because You are zealous for the land of Israel, and You will judge those who have divided Your land (Joel 2:18). Therefore, Father, we pray and we say that the United States of America will always be on the right side of Israel. We bless the land of Israel in the Name of Jesus (Psalm 115:12)!

CONFESSION FOR ISRAEL—THE PEOPLE

We thank You, Father, for Your plan for the people of Israel, and we say that the plan will stand to all generations (Psalm 89:4; 146:10). We say that You love Israel and that You arise and have mercy on the people of Israel (Ezkekial 39:25). You take the yoke from their necks for the set time for their favor has come (Psalm 51:18; 102:13). We speak comfort to the people of Israel (Isaiah 40:1), and we say that the days of their mourning


have ended (Isaiah 61:3) and that as the mountains surround Jerusalem, You surround Your people forever (Psalm 125:2). We thank You, Father, that they are arising in the earth, and the glory of the Lord is arising upon them. We pray that You refresh the Divine presence (Shekinah) within Your people. All their people shall be righteous, and they shall be called priests to the Lord and servants of our God (Ezekiel 11:19). You cover them with the shadow of Your hand and say to them, “You are My people.” Instead of shame, they shall have double honor, and they shall possess double in their land (Joel 2:27; I Timothy 5:17). We thank You, Father, that the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable and that You have not cast off Your people Israel.

We come into agreement as we pray Isaiah 59:20-21 and Psalm 121 over Israel and the Jewish people.

The Lord’s Covenant with Zion

20 “A Redeemer will come to Zion, And to those who turn from transgression in Jacob,” declares the LORD.

21 “As for Me, this is My covenant with them,” says the LORD: “My Spirit which is upon you, and My words which I have put in

your mouth shall not depart from your mouth, nor from the mouth of your offspring, nor from the mouth of your offspring’s

offspring,” says the LORD, “from now and forever.”

The LORD the Keeper of Israel.

1 I will lift up my eyes to the mountains; From where shall my help come? 2 My help comes from the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.
