My appeal for material for Hey Yeo has paid off beautifully!
Murray and Arlene Yeo of Hampton sent along four great
photos which they acquired from Bill Colville, another of our
Yeo cousins. Has anybody else got old photos they’d like to
share?
The photo at left must have been taken
about 1875, for the little guy in front is said
to be Uncle George, who was born in 1871.
The others, from left, are identified as Jesse,
Richard, Nell, Fred (more likely Sam), and
Rosina. (Editor’s note: Fred Yeo, son of
Samson, wasn’t born until 1908.)
The photo above would date from about
1881. From left are Jesse, William, Alonzo
and Hedley. This is the first picture I or
Hedley’s descendants have ever seen of
him.
The small girl at left is identified as Nell,
who was born in 1859, so this is a very old
picture.
The fourth photo features Alonzo’s four
kids, William, John, Tom and Flossie.
