ICAS HELPSSTUDENTS &SCHOOLS BE THE BEST THEY CAN BEICAS is the most comprehensive

educational assessment program

available. As an annual benchmark

of learning progress, it puts

powerful knowledge in your hands.

ICAS does not test recall of curriculum content, so students do not need to study for it.

It assesses the higher order thinking and problem-solving skills needed for success in:

l English

l Mathematics

l Science

l Writing

l Digital Technologies.

BENEFITS TO SCHOOLSICAS’s rich diagnostic reports provide powerful insights into:

Where individual students are succeeding and where they may need extra focus

Performance across year levels, classes and other subgroups

Strengths and weaknesses at a whole school, grade and class level

Student performance in comparison to peers nationally

 Student progress over time.

BENEFITS TO PARENTSICAS reports enable parents to:

Pinpoint their child’s strengths — which skills they excel in

Identify skill areas to be worked on, either for remediation or skill development

See the answer their child gave to each question, as well as the correct answer

Track educational performance as their child moves through school

Obtain an independent, external view of how their child is performing

See their child’s comparative performance nationally.

UNSW Global ICAS certificates also recognise student achievement.
