Jesus. They said they know that Hes all powerful. I asked if they prayed and
they said no. I talked to them about the importance of prayer and they
listened very intently. Weve learned that they, like most people, are more
open when not in a big group setting. We are very excited to inform you that
the 100 bibles that were ordered for the children at the orphanage have
arrived. We are going to present each child with their bible at a special
event in a few months after we complete a Bible study with them.
We are so blessed to have this opportunity to live with the awesome
people of Peru.
Christ not only died for all: He died for each.

One Year Anniversary
The Goshorns Step by Step
It's hard to believe we've been in Peru for a year now, it seems like a blur.
That means Jennifers birthday is coming up and this makes Matthew very
happy. As a lot of you know, we go out and eat to celebrate birthdays and
Matthew found a new place that he thinks we should try. Im sure hes also
excited because we get to celebrate his moms life:)
We are so thankful for you, prayer warriors. You all stepped it up when we
needed prayers about the orphanage and the Lord answered in a way far
better than we could imagine. Thats not surprise, is it? Then we were sure
we were going to have to move because our landlords wanted to raise the
rent. Katherine was so worried because she has made so many friends. We
put a prayer request out about the situation and again you all stepped it up
and we have another 1 year contract for the same price as before. Its so
awesome to watch God answer prayers. We just ask that you keep it UP
Weve had an opportunity to work with some children about an hour from
our home for two weeks. It was such a blessing to watch the Lord work in
these little human beings. Children are the same everywhere. We think that
in the States we have all these games that we can teach them, but it turns
out they have the same games we do, they just have different names for it. I
have observed children in the most poor areas of Costa Rica, Nicaragua,
Panama and the States and all Ive seen is love and respect, this proves to
me that hatred is taught. We're created perfect and the world screws us up.
We are still busy at the orphanage Rosario. The children are becoming
more and more open with us. Jennifers class is growing and the kids,
especially the boys are expressing more interest in Christ. I had two little
boys the other day around 8 or 9 years old talking about

We humbly thank you for your continued prayers
and financial support. If you havent yet, we ask that
you would prayerfully consider financially supporting
this ministry in Peru. Without more financial partners
this ministry can not continue to grow. We love you
all and thank you for being part of Gods work in
Peru.

Listening Weve been digesting everything that has been happening in just over a month since weve returned
from the states. Doors are opening and we ask that you join us in prayer to discern which ones the Lord
is leading us through. When I say leading us, this means you and us. We need to make sure we are
listening to His voice only. As of now we have prison ministry opportunities, discipleship opportunities in
our communities, opportunity to join with a group of Peruvians praying with prostitutes in Huancayo,
continued opportunities at the orphanage, a possible opportunity of working with another orphanage of
mentally handicapped children, opportunities to open up areas to the gospel through short term mission
teams from the states and much more. We cant do them all, even though we want to, so we need to
listen and follow. We continue to be amazed, and probably will always be, at how God
can use us. Thats when I realized, again, that together we can make
a difference. We are so thankful that you've listened. Jesuss
command to the early church was to carry the good news to other
places. In 2 Thessalonians 3 Paul says Brothers and sisters, pray for
us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored,
just as it is with you. When Paul says pray for us, he is talking about
you and I. God is not willing that any perish, as it says in 2 Peter 3:9.
His plan is for you and I to share the gospel with the people around
us, where ever that might be. He could have chosen any means He
wanted at sharing the gospel, but He chose you and I. How
AWESOME is that! We just need to listen. I, which is singular, cant do much, but you and I are the Body
of Christ, which is plural, with all our resources together can spread the gospel throughout the world. I
know with all the evil and persecution going on in the world now, its easy to become discouraged and
give up. We need to stay focused on the Lord. This is all about Him and not us. This is His story.
Deuteronomy 31: 8 says The Lord is indeed going before you, He will not fail or abandon you. Do not be
afraid or discouraged. We need to put all things in His hands, then listen and trust. His ways are always
the best ways and correct. He will always supply us with what we need, weve learned this here in Peru.
Some of the last words Jesus spoke in Matthew 28: 1820 were All authority in heaven and on earth
has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded
you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.
So from the bottom of my heart, I as well as several Peruvians that we are working with, want to thank
you for your obedience and listening to the Lord and being a part of Gods Great Commission. Again,
please be in prayer that we choose Gods will and not ours.
And He will reign forever and ever. Amen
