STUDY MODESOn-campus

If you are in Australia on a student visa you must study full time on campus. While in Australia, you are able to undertake some units within your course online provided it is: no more than 33 per cent of your entire course; approved by the University; and not entirely online in a compulsory term.

Online

By choosing to study online, you’ll have the flexibility to study a course, all from the comfort of your home. If you choose to study online, you may choose part time or full time to study at your own pace. This is a perfect option if you need to balance work or family commitments. Some courses require you to attend a residential school in Australia for a short period of time.

For more information see below and visit www.cqu.edu.au/international-online.

RESIDENTIAL SCHOOLSResidential schools may be compulsory or recommended, and vary in duration. They are usually conducted at a CQUniversity campus where an intensive block of classes allows you to obtain practical hands-on experience and network with lecturers, other students and in some cases industry specialists.

STUDY FULL OR PART TIMEFull-time

For an undergraduate or postgraduate coursework degree, a standard full-time load consists of four units per term. You can expect a maximum of 16 hours on campus each week, consisting of four hours per unit.

Part-time

Part-time study is only available to international students who hold a temporary visa or do not live in Australia and are studying online. A part-time load consists of one or two units per term.
