DENTAL HYGIENE DENTOFORM TYPODONTS

The M-1560 and M-PVR-1560 Dentoform typodonts allow for accurate interchangeability and stability, in addition to superior anatomy and occlusion. These typodonts can be utilized for teaching restorative, fixed prosthodontics, orthodontic, endodontic, partially edentulous, anatomy and occlusion courses. Dentoform typodonts can be adapted to fit any of our bench and chair manikins.

Articulated Dentoform comes standard with 32 removable numbered anatomical root teeth. Available with either clear or reddish translucent gums for instruction on subgingival instrumentation placement, adaption and alignment to the long axis of the tooth, providing excellent visual contrast with silver instrument blade adaptation for supra and subgingival scaling. Adjustable articulator keeps the typodont open for both instrumentation on manikin mount, or patient oral health instruction. Ideal for the demonstration of scaling and cleaning methods to patients or students. Accurate furcation anatomy.

Special ty Teeth

SPECIALTY TEETHWe at Columbia work with our institutional partners to provide a variety of teeth to fit the model.A single model can be modified throughout the year to adapt to the teaching needs or eachcourse, enabling your school to have one main typodont model for the first year, and thendesign teeth to place in the model to simulate various cases using the same model. There’s nolimit to the number and type of restoratives a single model can be used to teach.

Root Plugs

A root plug can replace a standard tooth, creating an edentulousspace for students to learn to fabricate multi-unit bridges, usingtheir original model. Students can also use these root plugs asas base to place implants.

Fractured TeethUsing the instructor’s design, Columbia can duplicate a fracturedtooth used to teach the use of composites to restore a fracturedtooth. Just replace a healthy tooth with the fractured tooth, keepingthe same original model.

TDC Caries TeethTo practice removing hard caries, and restoring the toothto its final anatomy, Columbia makes teeth with caries just under the surface for practice removing the caries and restoring the tooth to its natural shape.

Pre-Prepped TeethColumbia can provide a variety of pre-prepped teeth, or create a custom design, to enable students to practice restoring teeth to their natural shape.

PERIODONTAL ADULT DENTOFORM TYPODONTS

PROSTHODONTIC

With calculus on anatomically rooted teeth, osseous and gingival defects simulate chronic generalized periodontitis. Teeth adhere with a simulated periodontal ligament (PDL) which simulates the feel and resistance of tooth extraction. This typodont features soft gums that are removable and replaceable. Also available with clear gums to view bone degeneration.

With calculus on anatomically-rooted teeth, osseous and gingival defects, demonstrating case patterns Types I, II, III and IV (as listed in “Current Procedural Terminology for Periodontists”Third Edition). Gums are removable and replaceable.

Features a periodontally compromised typodont with 31 natural rooted teeth and #30 edentulous space, used to teach extraction and suturing. The teeth are adhered with a material to simulate the resistance of teeth to be extracted. The student may then practice proper placement of surgical sutures after extraction, implant placement or root tip removal.
