MR. RUGGLES This Mississippi Boy had a rough start to life, falling out of a pick up truck, getting lost, but then swooped up by amazing people. It was immediate kismet from only a picture online. We knew he had to make the long trek up to Rhody - and we are so thrilled that he did. This handsome boy started out being scared of everything including leaving the house but now his favorite adventures are climbing big rocks by the water and running on the beach! The secret to his success is tons of chewy treats for his choppers, and a healthy diet for that glow. Mr. Ruggles stole our hearts with lots and lots of Pittie kisses!!!

REMY Adopting Remy was one of the best decisions we ever made. He is such a sweet, gentle boy, and brings so much joy to our lives! He is a great little brother to his big sister Sprout. They love to play, take walks, and snuggle together with us on the couch. He is a popular visitor at the nursing home where he always behaves like a perfect gentleman. A favorite pastime is sitting on his favorite chair, looking out the window and monitoring the back yard. He is always sure to let us know if a deer, fox, or turkey pass through. And although he came from the South, he loves to play in the snow!

MARTIN Martin is the most lovable, friendly, and outgoing dog I’ve ever had. He likes to take long walks on the beach and play fetch. He likes to chase Chloe the cat for fun and lounge and cuddle on the couch while eating apples for quiet time. MAXHi. I’m Max and I’m from GA where I was abandoned at a groomer. A lot of people call me Handsome Max because . . . well, I’m so darn handsome. But I’m really a big goof-ball dog who loves to get silly with people and other dogs. Even though I’m from the South, I love the snow and run alongside my people when they cross-country ski. LARRY BIRD Larry Bird is a 4.5 year old hound mix. He is the best little brother to Jake, our 14 year old grey tiger kitty. Some of Larry’s favorite activities include: going for walks, chilling with his friends at the dog park and doggie daycare, eating treats, carrying his ducky around the house, and snuggling with his mom and dad in bed (under the covers with his head on our pillows). Larry is the most sensitive, sweet, stubborn, and loving dog. We are so thankful to Save One Soul for allowing him to spend his life with us. We love you to pieces Larry Bird!

BeanBean is so smart. She is super intelligent and runs our house. She runs around with her siblings Tanner and Oreo. She loves to go for rides. She is very entitled to sleep on your bed and share your pillow. She loves to hoard her toys in her 2 hiding spots and if you are not careful, your shoes and socks will be there, too! She is a rescue from the south but the cold weather does not bother her too much. She is just beautiful and makes you laugh.

FOSTERING SAVES LIVES!Fostering makes a real difference to a dog waiting to find his forever home and we need all types of foster homes:
• Homes committed to a dog until adopted• Weekend/Holiday/Overnight fosters• Vacation coverage fosters
As a foster home, you SAVE LIVES!!! You:• Provide in-home shelter, food, stimulation and affection for a foster dog, just like you would for your own pet.• Facilitate medical attention and training as relevant (SOS pays for all required medical care and training).• Help your foster dog find a forever home by participating in adoption events, talking to/meeting with potential adopters and providing photo and written updates on your foster dog for online updates.• Participate in the adoption process of your foster dog to help ensure a good match and good post-adoption support.
VOLUNTEEREven if you can’t foster a dog, there are many great ways you can help. Volunteer opportunities require time commitments ranging from a few hours on one day to ongoing, daily help. We are always looking for help with: • Reference Checking and Adoption Counseling• Adoption Event Support (dog handling, info desk, etc)• Fundraising/Promotions• Grant writing• Making and answering phone calls• Social Media Support• Cleaning• Photography• Graphic Design• Data Entry• Dog Walking and Sitting (temporary relief for foster homes)• Dog Taxi (local transportation for dogs)
