214a-08 Motif Sweater
Summary※Note 1: Like all Japanese patterns, stitch counts given here for foundation chains do not include any chain sts needed for turning posts.
※Note 2: Entire garment worked with 2 strands of yarn held together (1 strand of Teori Wool and 1 strand of Kirara).
Back & front body: To begin motifs A, B, C, and D, work chain and join into the round. Work motifs A and C in the round. Work motifs B and D back and forth in rows. Work in order from motif 1 to motif 63, joining them together on the last round using slip stitch.
Sleeves: Cast on with long-tail cast-on method and work in stockinette stitch. Bind off. Seam sides of sleeves (undersides) with mattress stitch.
Finishing: Seam sleeves to body with right sides facing each other using chain seam (alternating ch st and slip st as needed to maintain pattern). Align ◇ on sleeve to ◇ on body; seam with chain seam.
