PROTECTING YOUR HOME FROM NEGATIVE ENERGIES
In the Rasimandala puja, powerful mantras are invoked to counter the ill effects of nakshatras, grahas and rashis. Varuna, the lord of the oceans, and Soma, an aspect of Kubera the lord of wealth, are invoked into golden vigrahas and worshipped. This year, Kubera-Lakshmi coins embedded in Himalayan salt will be worshipped and given as prasadam to sponsors. By keeping these in the eight directions of the home where walls meet (see illustration), negative forces can be kept at bay and the wealth of Kubera and the blessings of Lakshmi can be availed of.
