TETRiS is a revolutionary patented thermal insulation floor system, designed to provide outstanding thermal and structural performance. The system consists of large, lightweight, ultra high compressive strength insulation blocks that sit on and between standard pre-stressed concrete floor beams. The blocks are then covered with a structural concrete topping, to produce a super insulated floor

with the highest possible Green Guide rating available of .A+

Pre-stressed Concrete BeamsTETRiS insulation blocks work with all types and sizes of pre-stressed concrete beams. TETRiS blocks dramatically reduce the static load imposed on the concrete beams, increasing the length the beams can span and potentially reducing the number required. As a result the amount of embodied energy and CO produced is reduced. 2

We have established a nationwide network of respected pre-stressed concrete beam manufacturers who can both design and supply floors to incorporate TETRiS blocks. Contact our helpful sales team for a list of beam partners in your area Tel. 08456 71-71-74.

Gas MembranesOnce installed the TETRiS system produces a smooth, level surface for a gas membrane to be draped over and built into the coursework accordingly.

Underfloor Heating SystemsAn underfloor heating system can easily be integrated into the floor. Before applying the structural concrete floor finish, either fix the pipes to the TETRiS blocks with ‘U’ anchors or cable-tie them to a D49 steel mesh, and dress the pipe tails to where the manifold will be sited.

Structural Floor Finish OptionsTo give the floor its structural integrity, TETRiS insulation blocks must be covered with one of the following in-situ concrete toppings:

C25 concrete with steel reinforcement - 65mm (min)concrete complying with BS 8500 Part 1, 2: 2002 and BS 206-1 with a maximum aggregate size of 10mm, poured over a minimum D49 steel reinforcement mesh to EN 10080: 1996, set at mid height on spacers.

C30 concrete with fibre reinforcement - 75mm (min)RC30 concrete complying with BS 8500 Part 1: 2002, with a maximum aggregate size of 10mm, combined with

3polymeric monofilament fibres at a rate of 900 g/m .

C35 concrete - 75mm(min) RC35 concrete with a CEM1 Slump Class 3 to BS 8500 Part 1 & 2: 2002, with a maximum aggregate size of 10mm.

Agilia Horizontal - 75mm (min) proprietaryself-compacting concrete, containing admixtures to BS EN 934, mortar and grout.

ADDITIONAL COMPONENTS

Approvals and Quality AssuranceThe TETRiS system has also undergone a rigorous testing regime carried out by CERAM Building Technology to confirm its structural integrity and long term performance. TETRiS blocks are manufactured under strictly controlled production procedures and are tested in accordance with BS EN 13164:2001 and carry CE marking.

Simple Order ProcessThe TETRiS system is supplied in plot specific quantities.1. Send us or your selected beam partner your foundation plans2. We will design the beam layout to suit the specific floor and U-value required. 3. You will receive a written quotation for the complete TETRiS system, including T-blocks, gap strips and vertical edge strips, together with a quotation for the beams and any sundry items required, including slips and closer blocks.

Installation MethodEasy to understand installation instructions are supplied with all deliveries of TETRiS. The TETRiS installation video can be viewed on the Cellecta website or via the FREE smart phone app, available via the app store.

Cutting TETRiS BlocksTETRiS blocks are strong and robust, and can be easily cut to size with a fine toothed saw. Fine trimming can be done with a sharp knife.

Creditscan be gained from four of the nine assessment categories detailed in The Code*:Category 1 - Energy Ene 1 15 Code credits are available for improving the DER over the TER. eg. ground floor U-values improved from

2 20.25W/m K to 0.16W/m K.

Category 3 - Materials Mat 1Adopting a construction listed on the BRE website: www.thegreenguide.org.uk, which incorporates one of Cellecta’s insulation products can result in up to 15 Code credits being awarded.

The TETRiS system has been awarded a BRE Green Guide A+ rating and gains 3 Code credits (element number 820140051).

Category 6 - Pollution Pol 11 Code credit is awarded when all the insulation materials in the elements listed below only use substances that have a global warming potential (GWP) of < 5, eg. TETRiS eco blocks: Roofs: including loft hatch Walls: internal and external, including lintels and all insulation

products Floors: including ground and upper floors Hot water cylinders, pipe insulation and other thermal stores Cold water storage tanks

Category 7 - Health and Well-being Hea 2 Incorporating one of Cellecta’s high performance acoustic treatments will also result in points being awarded. Contact our helpful technical team for further information.

THE CODE FOR SUSTAINABLE HOMESIncorporating Cellecta high performance thermal and acoustic insulation products into elements of a dwelling will help reduce the building’s impact on the environment and will enable builders and developers to gain Code for Sustainable Homes credits (CSH).

Physical PropertiesTETRiS insulation blocks are manufactured to the highest possible specification. Their physical properties are determined under strictly controlled laboratory conditions in accordance with the new harmonised European Standards.

TETRiS panels have excellent properties which will last the life of the building: Excellent thermal performance Very high compressive strength CFC & HCFC free Zero ODP Very low water absorption Closed-cell structure Zero capillary strength

TETRiS blocks have a GWP of <5 making them eco

Technical SpecificationsComposition (BS EN 13164: 2001): Extruded polystyrene (XPS)Compressive strength (BS EN 826): >320kPaLong-term water absorption by immersion (BS EN 12087): <0.7%Capillarity: None

LoadingsTETRiS blocks have a high very high compressive strength and have been rigorously tested by CERAM Laboratories. They can withstand a working uniform distributed load (UDL)

2of 4kN/m and a concentrated imposed load of 2.7kN (over 2an area of 0.05m ).

Health and SafetyTETRiS blocks are chemically inert and require no special treatment. A copy of the products COSHH data sheet is available upon request.

FireTETRiS blocks contain a fire retardant additive to inhibit accidental ignition. However plastic foams are combustible and may burn rapidly if exposed to intense fire.
