Bill of Material Definition

Bill of material is therelation between the Productand its components.

The Product is called the Parent item and its components are called the

child items.

Bill of material defines whatarethe different child items and in what

quantities forone unit of Parent item.

We mayhave fewexamples as below

- For1 meterof Knitted fabric of some style (Parent)werequire 200 Grams of 40s

Blueyarn and 250 Grams of 30s Yellowyarn (Childs).

- For1 piece ofa particularGarment product (Parent),werequire 1.2 meters of

Finished Fabric, 8 pieces of buttons of particulartype, 1 piece of size label, 1

piece ofwash care label etc (Childs).

- For1 Kg of Grey Yarn (Parent),werequire 1.3 Kg of Cotton (Childs)

PROCESS: Product Show Image

Click on BOM Component fromFunctions drop Down .

Wrkng BOM Screen will Appear.

Click on the Same.

Click on Functions drop down

Working BOM

PROCESS: Trims Item type (AGT) and Component

Item Types (ASG, AYF) Will Appear on the

functions Drop Down. BOM Component button is

linked to ACP

We select ASG, Since For Finished Garment,

stitched Garment is a BOM Component.

Now we select BOM Component which is for ACP

so we change the Father Item code to ASG

Now if component is dependent on size of father

item type then check the checkbox Dep. On Size

Now if component is dependent on color of fatheritem type then check the checkbox Dep. On Color

WORKING BOM

PROCESS: Similarly if component is

dependent on both then check both

the check box.

To add more components press add button

Now if dependency is one to many i.e.

if 2 colors of father item have same color

of component or 2 size of father havesame component size the go on open

detail button

PROCESS: Here is an example of size

Go on size button and then mapping can

be done

After mapping is done we need to validate it

by pressing Validate button

PROCESS:

User creates all the Trims Required

for finished Garment, Sewing,

Cutting.

Then users validate the BOM and

click parent.

PROCESS: BOM

As soon as it reaches to parent

screen, click create BOM

PROCESS: BOM will be Created

at different Levels of product

as shown like AFG, ASG and ACP

provided.

- Packing Material (Sizeand colorindependent)
