Practice Tips Start off by learning the natural minor scales, then harmonic and then natural. Remember the formula to construct each one: start with natural minor then raise the 7th to get the harmonic minor. Then also raise the 6th to get the melodic minor. Practice all scales over 2 octaves with a metronome.
