Perilous Times
What is the world coming to?
2 TIMOTHY 3: 1- 8
“But mark this: There will be terrible times in the last days. People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, without natural love, unforgiving, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not lovers of the good, treacherous, rash, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God - having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with such people. They are the kind who worm their way into homes and gain control over gullible women, who are loaded down with sins and are swayed by all kinds of evil desires, always learning but never able to come to a knowledge of the truth. Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned, are rejected.
Eph 5: 15:16. “So be careful how you live. Don’t live like ignorant people, but
like wise people. Make good use of every opportunity you have, because
these are evil days.”
2 Pet 3:3 “… you must understand that in the last days, scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires”
2 Tim 3: 1 But mark this: There will be terrible (perilous) times in
the Last Days
V 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money…
We should worship God, love people & use things. But if we start worshiping ourselves,
we will ignore God & use people.
V 2 People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud….
Rom 12:3 “ … I give each of you this warning: Don’t think you are better than you really are. Be honest in your evaluation of yourselves, measuring yourselves by the faith God has given us.”
1 Pet 5:5 “And all of you must put on the apron of humility, to serve one another, for God resists the proud but shows grace (favour) to the humble.”
People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy,
Ex 20:12 Honour your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.Eph 6:2 Honour your father and mother - which is the first commandment with a promise.
People will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boastful, proud, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, with unnatural affection…
Rom 1:26-26: Refusing to know God, they soon didn’t know how to be human – women didn’t know how to be women. Women with women – men with men – all lust not love. They paid for it, emptied of God and love, godless, loveless wretched.” (Message Bible)
1 Cor 6:9-10 “Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immortal nor idolaters, nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanders nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”
What else is “unnatural affection”?
Abusein Psalm 127:3, “Lo, children are an heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his reward.”
1 Cor 6:11 And that is what some of you were. But you were
washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the
Lord Jesus Christ & by the Spirit of our God.
2 Tim 3:5 “… having a form of godliness but denying its power. Have nothing to do with
such people.”
Matt 24:23 “Then, if anyone says to you “Look here is the Messiah! Or there he is!” do not believe him. For false Messiahs and false prophets will appear, they will perform great miracles & wonders in order to deceive even God’s chosen people.”
2 Tim 3:8 “Just as Jannes and Jambres opposed Moses, so also these teachers oppose the truth. They are men of depraved minds, who, as far as the faith is concerned,
are rejected.”

people. AMEN” (Rev 22:21)
