Oct. 29, 2017

Today, October 29th, is “Priesthood Sunday” through-out the United States. It is a call for parishioners to honor Christ as Priest, and the men who are called to his priests on earth. As baptized Christians we are called to a life of discipleship-our priests are called to also serve the spir-itual and liturgical life of the parish. Today, in particular, we pray that the Holy Spirit will continue to inspire the mission and the humble service of our priests, and to in-spire more men to answer the call to priesthood. We want to thank our priests for their faithful and dedicated ser-vice to our parishioners of St. Joseph of Cupertino Church. At the entrances to our church are special prayer cards. We encourage you to pray for our priests daily.

Prayer For Our Parish Priests Almighty Father, we thank You for the vocations of our Parish Priests whom you have called into the priesthood of Your Son. Jesus, may they always look to You as an example of humility, service and charity. Holy Spirit, use them as instruments to challenge many Catholics, especially the young, to love Christ and em-brace the heart of the Church. Mary, wrap your mantle around our priests and intercede for their strength and faithfulness to the Church. Holy Trinity-bless them! Blessed Mother-intercede for them! St. John Vianney-pray for all priests!

You're invited to our next book club discussion on: The Smile of a Ragpicker: The Life of Satoko Kitahara – Convert and Servant of the Slums of Tokyo by Paul Glynn, S.M., on Monday, Novem-ber 27, 7:30-9pm in the parish office.
