Aries bought a new Toyota Highlander in 2011. By researching values she finds the equation V(t) = 32000(0.87t) can be used to estimate the value of the car each year, where t is the number of years she owned the car.

She has a loan amount of 36000 with $600 monthly car payments on a 5 year loan.

Write an equation to find the unpaid balance of the loan for t years.

When will the value of the car be less than the value of the loan? What is the car worth?

Consider solving a system with two linear equations similar to solving a system with one linear and one quadratic equation compared to solving a system with one linear and one exponential equation

How are they similar? How are they different?

Did you hit the target? I can solve problems with

systems of equations and inequalities. Equations can be linear, exponential or quadratic.

Rate your understanding of the target from 1 to 5.

5 is a bullseye!
