In 2008 Poseidon celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Looking back, one realises that 50 years is a long time especially when you read about other events that took place in 1958:
- Soviet satellite Sputnik 1 falls to earth from its orbit - First International House of Pancakes (IHOP) opens in Toluca Lake, Calif. - First parking meters installed in Britain - The U.S. Congress formally creates NASA - Madonna was born in Bay City, Michigan.
Since then, Poseidon has experienced 50 years of innovative and creative deve-lopment that has created such icons as the Cyklon, Jetstream, Xstrean, Unisuit, Jetsuit and more…
With the launch of new products, such as the Discovery Rebreather and the Flexisuit dry suit , 2008 promise to be one of the most exciting years in our 50 year long history and we intend to mark this milestone by introducing even more new products during 2008.

001-47 XSTREAM DEEP 90
This regulator suite dives with a gas mix-ture up to 21% O2. The colour code on both first and second stage is black (Trimix). The second stage is equipped with a neckband as a standard. The first stage has five low pres-sure ports and two high pressure ports. The Deep 90 is delivered with a 70 cm low pres-sure hose.
4792-YW XSTREAM OCTOPUS
The octopus is Poseidon yellow and is clearly visible. It is delivered with a 90 cm low pres-sure hose.
001-87 XSTREAM DURATIOn
This regulator is specially developed for diving where you spend a long time under the surface. A gas mixture of up to 99.95% O2 can be used with the Duration regula-tor, which is 02-safe.

Many technical divers hold the Jetstream as their favourite regulator. The simplicity of the construction gives a regulator that manages to deliver the correct amount of air at extreme depths and rate of breathing.

Poseidon’s new flexible dry suit Flexisuit is developed to work as well for the experienced Rebrether diver as for the fresh open water diver in warm or cold water. Together with our new series of under wear Flexibase it is easy to adjust the right amount of layers depending on water temperature by using the multilayer principle. Flexisuit has anatomical pre-bent arms & legs. Flexisuit is made out of 3,5mm HD neoprene super stretch with a very durable Armatex nylon on the outside. For arm, knee, socks and back protection is a specially de-veloped Kevlar used with stretch. A wonderful suit to wear & dive with, try it you too!

15000-54 Besea W100 000-55 BESEA W50W100 is a tech-wing with a single bladder, developed for divers that need to carry more weight than a regular diver. Furthermore the W100 has a wide displayed wing contour to optimise the space between the wing legs, for double tanks.
BeSea W100 is designed for equipment that’s negative weight in water does not exceed 32 kilo and the lifting capacity is 353 Nm. W100 is delivered with double tank bands in nylon, which does not stretch in water. The vest can be further equipped with integrated weight pockets, pockets, a back plate in stainless steel, Q.M.R.- system, pin bolt kit and extra D-rings.
W50 is a sport-wing designed for beginners as well as more advanced divers. Four dump valves and the inflator with mechanism in stainless steel ensures inflation and deflation is always controlled and safe. BeSea W50 is designed for equipment that’s negative weight in water does not exceed 19 kilo and the lifting capacity is 225 Nm. W50 is delivered with double tank bands in nylon, which does not stretch in water. A tech-wing with a single inner bladder, spe-cially developed for divers that need to carry more equipment then a recreational diver. The wider profile of the W100 wing optimizes the spacing between the two ”wing legs” and this makes it an ideal wing for twin-tanks.
The W100 is designed to be used with equip-ment that has a negative weight of 32 kilos (70,5 lbs) or less and it has a lifting capacity of 353 N.
W50 works best with equipment that has a negative weight of 19 kilos (41,8 lbs) or less in water. It has a lifting capacity of 225 N.
The narrow air-passage behind the diver’s neck is designed to not limit the movement of the head or entangle the regulator hoses when the wing is inflated.

The Platform is like nothing seen before. From the ergono-mically shaped back plate, designed to distribute the weight evenly to the ”one size fits all” harness adjustable through a single movement to the quick-connect bladder and tank holder.
