1. Mount control panel using integral mounting fl anges.

2. Intrinsically Safe Panel Models: Determine conduit entrance for intrinsically safe wiring. Entrance location must be within intrinsically safe barrier area. A separate rigid metallic conduit must be used to enclose the conductors of the intrinsically safe control circuit. When installed according to these instructions and Article 504 of the National Electric Code (NFPA 70) this control panel provides intrinsically safe sensing circuits for interface with Class 1, Division 1, Groups C and D hazardous locations. Intrinsically safe wiring must be in accordance with the enclosed control drawing of the specifi c intrinsically safe relay manufacturer.

3. Determine conduit entrance for non-intrinsically safe wiring. Cables must be outside of the intrinsically safe barrier area. NOTE: Ensure the power supply voltage and phase are the same as the pump motor being installed. If unsure, refer to the pump identifi cation plate for voltage/phase requirements.

4. Drill holes and attach liquid-tight conduit connectors.

5. Bring cables into the control panel and wire according to the fi eld wiring section of the schematic.

6. Seal conduits using approved sealant to prevent gases from entering the control panel.

Basic Operation:

Pump turns on when Float 2 closes. Lag pump turns on when Float 3 closes. Pumps turn off when Float 1 opens.

Timer Dial: Controls lag pump delay time (0—60 seconds).

Float Out-of-Sequence: If a fl oat closes or opens in the incorrect sequence, the alarm will activate. The Out-Of-Sequence fault will clear if the failed fl oat returns to the correct position.
