• What do you wonder about? What’s on your mind when you wake up? What do you daydream about at lunch or on the bus? What questions haunt or nag you at night during those last moments before your consciousness crumbles and you fall asleep?

• Round up an adult book you love and a book you love for kids. Bring the books tomorrow and be prepared to share why you love the books with a reading response group.

• Read Chapter 1 in KWR’s What You Know by Heart, pgs. 1-30.

• Write a brief reflection in your notebook about the big ideas you have harvested from KWR’s book.
