8:00 Welcome Pauline Raymond-Martimbeau

Learning objectives:

• Understand the importance of a precise diagnosis and develop a targeted approach. to treating venous incompetence.

• Understand technical assessment, its indications and benefits, and gain an approach to differentiating typical and unusual presentations of venous incompetence.

• Understand the various treatment modalities for early and advanced venous disorders therapies.

A series of workshops and presentations will be set up for trainees to experience instruction from key leaders in different aspects of venous disease. For some workshops, participants will be divided in groups and will rotate through different workshops.

8:15 Lower extremity superficial venous anatomy related to ultrasound assessment Céline Fortin Objectives: To review lower extremity superficial venous anatomy and recognize anatomical findings while performing ultrasound assessment.

9:00 Clinical and duplex assessments, live demonstration Jean-Patrick Benigni, Frédéric Vin, Mandy Wong Objectives: To cover how to recognize the importance of a precise diagnosis, identify different non-invasive assessment, its indications and benefits, and gain an approach to differentiating typical and unusual presentations of venous incompetence.
