1) BROADBAND (MULTIOCTAVE) REFLECTOR ANTENNAS
Our PRA series parabolic reflector antennas offer high gain and narrow beamwidth for broadband and extremely broadband applications. A typical PRA series antenna has an instantaneous bandwidth in excess of an octave. These antennas are ideally suited for Spectrum management, direction finding (DF), counter measures (ECM), EMC testing and other commercial applications.
2) ANTENNAS for RADAR SYSTEM SIMULATORS
Our Reflector antennas for radar test, simulation and training are designed for integration into complete threat radar simulators for use on combat training and test ranges or simulators for training and evaluation of radar operators, aircrews, air-traffic-control or weather radar applications. All antennas for radar simulators have high RF power handling capabilities and generally use pressurized transmission lines. Dual-band, single aperture antennas and a cluster of separate antennas mounted to a single pedestal are ideally suited for RADAR simulators in mobile, fixed, shipboard and airborne environments.
3) ANTENNAS for RADAR SYSTEMS
3a) Monopulse Tracking AntennasSeveral reflector antennas for RCS measurement, telemetry, Radar and other applications are available with Monopulse tracking capability. Monopulse tracking is available for use in airborne and shipboard antenna systems. REFLECTOR ANTENNAS
In general, all INMARSAT antennas can also be used to downlink GOES satellite data. Our antennas are tested and certified for compliance with strict specifications for gain, axial ratio and sidelobe envelope rolloff which are required by the INMARSAT organization. CPDA Series portable and remote INMARSAT Standard M terminal antennas are described in Section 4 and a separate datasheet for tactical antennas. VSAT We have been the pioneer in the development of antennas and feeds for VSAT (Very Small Aperture Terminal) satellite communications systems. Multiband VSAT antennas have been developed for simultaneous access to 2 or more transponders aboard hybrid satellites. All VSAT antennas have been fully tested for radiation patterns, gain, sidelobes, cross-polarization and axial ratio. They meet all applicable FCC, CCIR, EUTELSAT, INTELSAT and other regulatory bodies specifications for Earth Station antennas. CONICAL SCAN ANTENNAS FOR TRACKING Tracking antennas using the conical-scanning principal offer RF beam nutation without RF rotary joints so that power handling capability can be extremely high and there is no wow or noise generated by the scanning system. The scanning mechanism is fully integrated, sealed against the environment and may be readily accessed for maintenance purposes. GIMBLE MOUNTED ANTENNAS Parabolic reflector antennas for Gimbal mounted applications are available with feeds which have very little protrusion behind the vertex. This innovative style permits the reflector to be brought very close to the motional axes for mounting on high-performance gimbals. These antennas must have extremely compact geometries to minimize the swept volume and radome size and their center of gravity must be close to the intersection of the motional axes to minimize motor torque. Reflectors are also available to attach to an elevation yoke so that the antenna center of gravity is coincident with these axes. These antennas can have any desired polarization, including orthogonal linear, orthogonal circular and variable linear. Although limited in efficiency to about 50%, this style of reflector antenna finds wide applications in many microwave communications systems.

4b) Telemetry and Imaging SystemsSatcom antennas are available in all commonly-used telemetry and data link frequency bands. These include P-band, L/S-bands, C-, X- and Ku- band antennas for airborne-to-satellite datalinks for UAV (Unpiloted Airborne Vehicle) systems, Airborne line-of-sight datalink antennas, L/S-band monopulse tracking reflectors and fixed site antennas.
Our satellite imagery antenna systems are available for integration with shipboard and fixed user terminals including RADARSAT, FY-2, GOES, TIROS, GMS, SPOT, METEOSAT, DMSP and other transponders.
4c) Antennas for Calibration SystemsOur calibration standard antennas include secondary gain standards at NIST for characterizing DSCS satellite equipment, as a transportable Earth Station for monitoring AMSC/TMI L-band satellites, monitoring the downlink signal of a satellite during polar orbit passes or as monitor stations for worldspace and other satellites.
4d) Antennas for Portable Terminals
5) COMMUNICATION LINK ANTENNAS
5a) Angle Diversity Systems and Other ApplicationsARA has developed a wide range of high performance angle diversity antennas for line-of-sight communications. These antennas can dramatically improve the link reliability by reducing the effects of fading.
The antennas consist of shrouded, high performance parabolic reflectors with RF absorber-lined aperture shields which have been equipped with an innovative feed system. The latter enables the antenna to have two vertically-splayed beams approximately one beamwidth apart. Diversity combiners are used on the two transmission paths to improve link fading statistics.
Both dual and single polarized antennas are available for operation in all standard communications frequency bands. All antennas are equipped with standard tower mounts with elevation and azimuth vernier adjustments.

In addition, waveguide combiners have been designed and delivered to yield sum and difference elevation patterns by combining upper and lower beam ports in a special hybrid network.
Our angle diversity feeds consist of two closely spaced radiating apertures with special compensating devices to maximize isolation, control phase center position, and to optimize primary pattern shape. In typical reflectors, they result in two beams having crossover levels between 4 and 5.5 dB.

5c) Line-of-sight Communication Antennas
6) RADAR CROSS SECTION INSTRUMENTATION ANTENNAS
Antennas for demanding Radar Cross Section measurement systems are available for ground, helicopter and aerostat environments. All RCS instrumentation antennas are designed to handle substantial peak RF power levels over wide frequency bandwidths with minimum ringing. All of ARAs reflectors are fabricated from accurate, lightweight and rigid epoxy-graphite honeycomb material.
7) ANTENNA TEST RANGE SOURCES
We offer a set of modular source (i.e. generally transmitting) antennas for far-field test ranges. Two-foot and six-foot reflector diameters are standard; both have provisions for mounting pre-focused and interchangeable waveguide-bandwidth linear, dual and circular polarized feeds.
We also offer two types of ultra-bandwidth (1-18GHz) source antennas. The first one is a remotely controlled linearly polarized antenna with a rotary joint and a polarization encoder. This antenna is highly useful for conducting swept axial ratio measurements. The second type of reflector antenna has an ultra broad band dual polarized feed.
Modular and Dedicated Use source antennas have rear mounting provisions to interface with 56000-series Scientific-Atlanta (or M.I. Technologies) polarization positioners. The boresight is mechanically aligned with the mounting surface within 10% of the 3dB beamwidth.

REFLECTOR ANTENNAS
9) SPECIFICATIONS: Reflector Antennas for Special applications 9a) High-Field EMC Test Antennas These reflector antennas are designed for performing very high field strength Electromagnetic Compatibility and Susceptibility testing. Field strengths up to several kilovolts per meter can be generated in a compact laboratory environment using moderate power RF sources. In the frequency range above 400 MHz, the system is based upon the off-axis focusing properties of a parabolic reflector and consists of a 1.8-meter reflector and a set of six interchangeable linear-polarized feeds. The feeds are mounted in a predetermined off-focus position. The test article is then placed in a high-field zone located on the opposite side of the reflector axis. The standard working distance is 1 meter in front of the reflector. The axial depth of the high-field zone is approximately 0.5 meter. The lateral dimensions of the zone depend on the frequency and are typically 0.2 - 1.0 meter. The zone size is quite ample for testing many types of electronic equipment. This high-performance system is delivered with field strength calibrations at nine locations within the zone. Truncated high-power log-periodic for use below 400MHz are described in a separate datasheet.

10b) CPRA-118: 1-18 GHZ COLLAPSIBLE REFLECTOR ANTENNAS Our CPRA-118 antennas offer a practical approach to high gain and narrow beam antennas for tactical, ECM and EMC test applications. CPRA-118/C series antennas: These models use lightweight composite parabolic reflectors. Standard reflector sizes are 48 and 36 in diameter. Standard CPRA-118 models include four different kinds of feeds: 1) LPD series linearly polarized Log periodic feeds for low
power transmit and/or receive applications. 2) Broadband horn feed for high power (in excess of 250W cw)
applications (DRG-118/RF). 3) A set of four horn feeds (WFS-218/4) covering 2 to 18 GHz
for very high power applications. 4) LPC series dual polarized Log periodic feeds for low power
transmit and/or receive applications.
