SCRPITURE STUDY

This year we are asking for donations of candy for the Po-sadas. Please bring your donations to the 1pm Mass on December 15th or you may deliver them to the Parish Of-fice from December 9th through December 19th during their office hours.
New St. Lucy Parish Administrator
Mike Wentz, who has served as a superb Parish Administrator for St. Lucy Parish since December, 2009, will be retiring as of December 31, 2013. Mike has provided superb oversight and direction of the temporal side of the parish operation and he will be much missed in that capacity. Mike will continue to serve in St. Lucy Parish Music Ministry at the 6:00 pm Sunday Mass.
The parish is fortunate to have found a fine new Parish Administrator -- Raymond Langford, who began train-ing with Mike on December 9. A future Bulletin will provide information about Raymond’s biography and pro-fessional experience in both high tech and the Church.
We express deepest gratitude to Mike and a warm welcome to Raymond.

St. Lucy's St. Vincent de Paul Society
Simbang Gabi
The "Simbang Gabi", a 9-day tradition of dawn masses in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary and to usher in the birth of Jesus, will begin on December 16 until December 24. All the masses will be said in English and will be celebrated at 5:30 in the morning. There will be a breakfast reception at the PAC after each mass. Everyone is invited to experience this traditional devotion in anticipation of Christmas.

Administrador Nuevo para la Parroquia de Santa Lucia
Mike Wentz, quien se ha desempeñado como el administrador de la parroquia de Santa Lucia desde diciem-bre del 2009, se jubilará el 31 de diciembre de 2013. Mike ha proporcionado excelente supervisión y direc-ción del lado temporal de la operación de la parroquia y lo extrañaremos. Simbang Gabi
El "Simbang Gabi", una tradición de 9 días de misas al amanecer en honor de la Santísima Virgen María y de para marcar el comienzo del nacimiento de Jesús, se iniciará el 16 de diciembre y continuara hasta el 24 de diciembre. Todas las misas son en inglés y se celebrarán a las 5:30 de la mañana. Habrá una recepción de desayuno en la PAC después de cada misa. Todos están invitados a expe-rimentar esta tradicional en la espera de la Navidad.
